  1. Kirbyville will make the playoffs and give Spurger a little something to worry about in the first round.  I love what Coach Bush has brought to the Wildcat basketball program.  They are FINALLY pressing and running the court which goes with the athleticism of the team.  Once they get their basketball legs under them, they could be a very formidable foe.
  2. Congrats "D"...............I mean Coach E
  3. Congrats "D"..........I guess it is really Coach E now, but you will always be "D" to me..............Just your favorite coach checking up on you. Good luck the rest of the season
  4. Jr., Just because you and your family make donations to the school, it still doesn't give you the right to criticize the coach's decision. And, yes you did criticize the coach when you said that he should have pulled him earlier. If I am not mistaken, the coach is the one who is responsible for making pitching changes. Not the fair-weathered fans who find a way to coach from the bleachers or the internet. Hindsight is always 20-20. What if he would have pulled the pitcher and the new one gave up a three run bomb or walked a couple of batters? Then, you would have said that he should have stayed in the game longer because he was their best pitcher. Live the life of a coach, then you can speak a little more freely. Leftyand Wildcat, If I do criticize the coaching decision made by someone, I do it in the privacy of my own home. I am smart enough to keep my comments to myself and not air them over the world wide web (to me, that is the sign of adolescence).
  5. Joel Howell, you ought to be ashamed of yourself for second-guessing Coach Terrier. Didn't you just spend some money on advertisements for the semi-final game? In the advertisement itself, it says something along the lines of "Howell's Campus Corner is proud supporters and good friends to both the school and the community. Newsflash...........you may not want to get to close to Coach Terrier anytime soon. It doesn't sound like you are making too many friends with the school or the community. Make up your mind..........do you want to support the Cougars or question the leadership?? Also, definitely is spelled my way, not yours (definatley). Learn to be supportive of the school and community and maybe your business will continue to flourish. upandunder has spoken!
  6. Get your facts straight.....the post man (1st team all state) never returned nor did the point guard (2nd team all state). Losing them 27 games into the season, it was difficult to re-define roles and ask bench players to become major contributors. Good luck to both Silsbee and H-J in the playoffs.
  7. Totalsportsprogram.........GROW UP!! Also, quit hiding behind a screen name. If you read my quote, there is nothing derogatory stated or implied. It simpy states that the teams from Pool B better show up to play or it could be a long game. End of conversation!
  8. Pool A: Pool B: Normangee East Chambers Cathedral Tyler Chapel Hill Hardin-Jefferson West Orange-Stark Lumberton Denton Guyer Wow!! Pool B teams better come to play for every game during pool play.
  9. Really???? My sources have told me otherwise. I will say this.....the name being considered has had a lot of recent success. If the money is right, it is his job for the taking. The board will meet Tuesday and see if they can match the money requested.
  10. Too bad the center for Chapel Hill broke a bone in his foot during the second quarter of the game against H-J because we would not be having this conversation if he were not injured. At the time of his injury, he had as many points as Donahoe did. He only scored one point in the second half. This would be a great re-match when both squads are healthy.
  11. Once you get past Kountze and East Chambers, the district is wide open. Warren returns a couple of decent players, but so does Buna, Anahuac, and Deweyville. It should be interesting as all of the remaining teams fight it out for third place. TexasBasketball..........stay in school and keep working on the English/grammar
  12. Actually, Buna made the playoffs the year after Harrison left (2001-2002). Since then, many factors have led to the downfall of the basketball team. Most importantly, there is very little support for the kids who play basketball and many are ridiculed, or talked out of playing so they can focus on "other sports." Until this changes, it will be difficult for the current coach, or any coach, to be successful.
