No reason for me to serve crow or eat it though.
I want my boys to win... but regardless how this game ends the pride I have for this team will not waiver.  I'm praying for no injuries on either side and a great display of sportsmanship.  No need for either team to eat crow, I think it's been a great run on both sides. I'm so excited I can't hardly stand it.  :) It's gonna be a great game. PS: every team has their "village idiots"...  :o
"Village Idiot" I'm not, nor a turn the cheek kid-of person either. If you try to talk stats some WOS and Kirbyville posters don't like what they here and try to belittle you like they did to J Nunn. They also don't like rebutles to their smack talk or sly comments, so crow is needed either which way it goes. LuvMyTrojans, you must be female, a band member once, or transplant from out of town because no male, ex-football player, or home grown Coldspring person would tolerate comments from this site and not ask for crow. This is a battle not a spelling contest. Don't think they would take  victory gracefully without digging in spurs on us.
I have actually found most of the banter on both sides quite tame for such a game that is expected to be a hotly contested matchup. Of course, that was until you got behind a keyboard.
Of course you would say its tame it has been mostly WOS commenting on here with few rebutles. If you look closer on this and other sites where some WOS & Kville_kat post you'll see smack talk and sly comments. It has been said before, if you say anything against WOS be prepared to be singled out. I'm just suprise you let my post through. Thanks for allowing me to accept crow or eat crow at the end of the day. I just was not going to listen to someone from my own town (or woman, band member from out of town) talk smack to me.

3. 28-7 Coldspring. Just make sure all WOS posters don't go anywhere when the game is over, stay and enjoy some crow. Last year when we beat Kirbyville, all the sites pretty much shut down and all I heard was crickets chirping in the background. Again, 28-7 Coldspring.
4. We proved you wrong the last two weeks. Its not our fault Dave Campbell does not respect you (WOS and Kirbyville). I myself understand Kirbyville this year but WOS should be higher in the ratings. The feeling of "Coldspring Haters" comes from the constant negative post and making fun of the grammer used on other threads. It shows nervousness from you and your age. Most young people text in their style of short hand form everyday. I've learned two things from this site: 1) You will never get the last word in, just watch and 2) Don't make negative remarks toward WOS, Kirbyville, or BC, they will hunt you down and single you out. Coldspring fans we know the truth, our strengths, and our weakness. Just let them post what ever they want, its strickly business from us from here on out.
5. Coldspring scrimaged Newton and played Crockett. I think Newton wins from what I seen. Crockett's Wheeler had trouble keeping his act together and did not produce much on us as QB or WR. Newton has a good defense, that has plenty of speed on the line to rush the QB and in the secondary to contain him. The problem is Crockett played Coldspring which has the same Offense as Newton. The QB other than Wheeler was the kid that made us nervous. He was big, tough, and as fast as Wheeler. That kid will be the difference if Crockett is going to beat Newton.    Newton 21 Crockett 14, goes to the wire.  Good luck Newton.
6. Its not arrogance, we are just tired of Kirbyville trying to justify their team and running down ours. We are now talking back and noone can stand it. Its arrogance that Kirbyville keeps hoping for respect for a few years past. They just can't get over last year's upset. Talk all you want Kirbyville, we won 2 of last 3. Even, if we don't go to state we own BC and Kirbyville. If you hate losing, then don't play us, now that is arrogance.
7. Kirbyville I know you are trying to still be a part of football but your season was over last year. Start on lay-ups or shoot some 3's, maybe we will see you again one day. We will let you win in tennis or Banjo playing but leave the Footbal to us.
8. Sorry we are using a Trainnnnn this year. No buses, budget cut! It was a good game but after watching the film again we had missed blocks but the running backs were missing the holes mostly. The pass was there, up the middle but not in the flats. Coaches can't see everything. BC your a good team and your coach had them ready. Very Discipline and motivated. I think our kids learned a lesson, if not we will be doing layups in a week.
9. Let me slowwwww it down for you. If it was a Band Contest or Spelling Bee, then you would win both. Maybe that is what the "being on top" means from Kirbyville because they sure can't play football anymore. I thought it was going to be a rematch from last year, or not. Call me when you can make 10 free throws in a row, thats what you should be doing right now.
10. Yes, Coldspring was not in tip top shape today. They did not use all their weapons (passing game), don't know why but when the box is stacked thats what happens, trouble running the ball. That is what Barbay does sometimes but he pulls a win out most of the time. Now shut up and get on the Coldspring Bus to State or if you rather go shoot free throws tonight. Good game see you next year.

YOUR COACH KNEW IT WAS OVER, so he left while on top. I don't blame him. You will soon be the Shepherd of your district. So enjoy and talk about the years you was good because you will not see any for a while again. Most of these kids just started middle school those days you was good and to them its like remembering the 1960's.
You mean Tarkington ;D ;D ;D
No Hunnington is the Tarkinton; they are not that  bad. KVille fans must think they are going to 2A, if they think they are going to be on top again. Jasper will win that district for a long time to come.

13. Cleveland when you get done with WOS head across I-10 and sit with us (Coldspring), home side, while we pound the heck out of BC. I'll be at yours, for sure and supporting like no other.
14. I know you will. We enjoy watching and the atmosphere is playoff type.
15. Those times ave long passed. Yes we had up and downs but we are up for the next two years at least. You should not of let us get Barbay from you. lol
16.
Only point I might not agree with is Huffman taking car of us, dont know how I think that one will end up. I had started a thread earlier this year trying to compare the two districts.  Our best solution to that will come this weekend. Looking at the schedules and results is not a good comparison this year at all. Even in trying. to compare my G tigers and Huffman,  Huffman played two strong teams in KP and CS with a good showing against CS.  Rest of schedule was pretty weak.  The Tigers  best win was probably Newton maybe Jasper, early.in the  season. Had a goodgame with BC and not too bad a game against WOS.  Still not too sure how strong either of them are. I do know the  tigers need to fix some recent problems and play like earlier in the year or saturday will end the season.  Go Tigers!
Didn't Jasper get beat by Orangefield! Coldspring blew Jasper and Newton out in both our scrimages by over 6 touchdowns to 1, in the first series. So if that is their best wins then Huffman will hang over 50 points on them, #14 will have a track meet.
17. BC start pulling the roll away goals out or taking swings in the gage, because its going to happen for you starting Monday next week. If you win we will jump on the BC wagon but I expect the same for Coldspring without any lip, just sit on the bus all the way to state, we have plenty of room- two buses from the same district. :) :)
18. The only team on BC shedule that might of prepared them was Vidor. Other than that, you are living a dream world. By the way, we pulled away from Huffman with two pass TD's, not running, so keep thinking we are one dimensional. 22-3A might clean sweep your district if you under estimate Cleveland. Because Huffman and Coldspring both win 21-6 and we start running the clock out......
19. Yes, they re going to have the best game of their lives and beat you by 7. Sorry to let you know.
20. Tullos ran himself off with the player fighting that was caught on tape and then coaches interfering. I'm sure it wasn't just that. Cleveland does have scattered players that are talented, but they could of played us and Huffman tougher by throwing the ball not running #12 and/or having a better secondary/linebacker coach. These are just a few coaching areas that has to improve. Yes, coaching from the stands is tuff but I could give him more help than the coaches he has in the crows nest helping. His plays was so predictable I was calling run or pass before the play happened and who was going to run and which side with 95% accuracy. If I can do that what do you think the other coaches are seeing. I am still pulling for Cleveland in the play-offs and even picked them to beat Huffman (ate crow on that one) but the HC needs to get some better assistants to be more than 3rd in district. You maybe happy with 3rd place the next few years.
21. Tarkington gets beat every year but they keep trying but they always have good sportsmanship. This year coldspring players said Tarkington all had good attitudes and felt bad for them but the game had to continue. By the way Tarkington is the only team to score a touchdown on us in district. There was no smack talk on either side, they kept playing hard. There is always two sides to a story. It sounds like there was smack talking on both sides at that game and the Coach's pride was hurt and he looked for any reason to stop the game. Now if the entire team voted and they wanted to quit thats another story. Coach your in a tight spot morally and with your career. Change sometimes is good for all involved and sounds like change is coming. P.S. Don't come to Coldspring, go to Huffman.
22. I agree with that but tell the fans and the kids not to expect much the first year. Which means you basically told the seniors their year does not mean anything. What coach did he bring in to turn it to a spread? (Should of stole a coach from a proven system to help) We used to have Coach Limas and each year he said it would get better but it didn't and he is still losing in Hearne (1-7). Thats what happens when a coach is a salesman and keeps the parents and school board believing.
23. I watched Cleveland play 3 games on tape and watched them play Huffman. I seen Buckley and Fitzwater at an Under Armour camp in Houston and they both were in the top 5 out of 25 in Houston. Buckley does not have the same numbers in District as Fitzwater because of the WR's and coaching, they either ran bad routes (a blind man can guard them) or dropped balls and then he was substituted for a QB that does not run the ball hard at all. Buckley can run better than that guy. The coach did not coach his scheme to the players he has, example you can't run the spread if you can't catch the ball or find the passing lanes. I think the Coach in cleveland is getting bad advice from his assistants or he is a bad coach. He maybe a good politician with parents and school boards but unless they wake up it will continue. Looks like by these post from Cleveland it continues. As far as athletes, Coldspring lost the best track stars last year. Every year since this current 11th grade group was in Junior High we was always beat (teamwise) by Cleveland or Splendora in track. Gilbert always placed 1 or 2 but several  other players are slow, we just are smart football players. Cleveland wins 42-8 dispite the coach or parents.
24. The funny thing is Limas is in Hearne and still has a losing record. I think it was 1-7.
25.
I moved from clyde texas to coldsrpings (5th grade),stayed for about 6 weeks, moved back home to dayton, class of 10. Yes, around 2003, 2004, and 2005 we had the worst coach ever Coach Limas, that could not buy a win, but was a good bull%$@er to the school board. The best running back I ever saw sat the bench his senior year (Cat Daddy- T. Lagway) because Coach Limas changed the backfield, for a different running back that was bigger but slower. Lagway got his 2400 yards (in two years, Sophmore & Junior year) with no blocking and was not as big as Gilbert. You have to have a good supportive community, talented kids, good coaching and assistants that believe in a proven system to have success. Thats what we have now.
