  1. With the talks and flirts of it I wish they would go ahead and do it. I’m just not sure how far away we are from seeing it… @Matthew328 might be able to shed some light on how far we are away from possibly seeing 7A coming to play.
  2. Very great answers. Thank you. I know one that wasn’t mentioned above is travel… in example lot of Nederland’s district foes are Houston area teams so they play very top notch team very close to home. I got that from a coaches mouth. PAM, WOS and Silsbee… WOS and Silsbee are kinda in the lines of they will play anyone that is willing to step up. Plus seems like the better part of the last 15 years Nederland has played WOS and Silsbee. PAM gets them ready for FBM and beyond.
  3. Once UIL creates that 7A it’s going to be very interesting to see the numbers…
  4. This! I always wonder what goes through the thought process…
  5. You are correct about Vidor having bigger number but that Lumberton Growth… from what I heard from a Lumberton MS football coach these are record number size for the current 6th-8th grade. They are saying it’s huge and every week more kids are moving in… Another one to watch for is Splendora, all that growth in that area Splendora will be 5A very soon… we had a regular Splendora poster that said in the next realignment or 2 they will be 5A a few years back… I drove through that area not along ago and was hard to recognize so much new growth and neighborhoods as well. 2022-2024 UIL numbers for good measure. Lumberton 1215 Vidor 1229 LCM 1024 Livingston 1152 Huffman 1099 Splendora 1234
  6. I wouldn’t be shocked if Lumberton ends back up in 5A…
  7. Thanks for letting us know where you are at Coach Villanueva.
  8. I would tune in!
  9. PNG beat GCM 8-1 Freshman Kooper Benoit pithed 7innings.
  10. Where’s the video at?
  11. Congrats to all the winners! Nederland has always put on a great meet!
  12. They literally won Tuesday night against PNG?
  13. Who knew last week that said coach was offered the job? Could have been offered Monday morning… never know. TBH I personally don’t think it’s him leaving. But never know.
  14. I’m sure if Nac wanted him a spot will “open up” on the cheer team up at Nac… that’s if they wanted him and he wants go…
  15. Nederland 2006 bunch was pretty lethal. 2 of them still hold records at NHS. Alex Moshier (QB) Micah Mosley (RB) Phillip Biehle (TE)
  16. I have about 2 guesses. Both in the 4A level…. But curious to see. It’s getting kinda late in the school year
  17. I saw a mock draw up what it is suppose to look like. I’ll try and find it
  18. As easy as it sounds, no one in this day and age wants to work anymore. Plus something to do with schools, all the construction workers have to pass a background check. If you ever worked construction before well you know where I’m going with it lol
  19. Yeah I heard of those stories too!
  20. The bathrooms and such was materiel delay. Price of steel went through the roof and was a waiting game. Could you have imagined if they tore down the pressbox and couldn’t build it cause of material and we don’t have one all football season? Just a prevented disaster NISD took. They are building it offsite and then when it gets here it’s just bolt up and hook up. Should be a very speedy process what I was told. What work they can do now they are doing it.
  21. With a brand new high school being constructed, both middle schools and 4 elementary schools renovations and additions then add to the stadium it’s a lot of work. You put all the focus on remodeling and construction of the stadium you will have everyone saying all they care about is sports. If you do it evenly and in phases each project is getting equal amount of time. Work is progressing and the final product will be nice.
  22. The turf happened quickly after the bond passed because it doesn’t take much to do during the summer. (Phase 1) NISD plan from the get go was to do this in a 3 phase due to not interrupting to many sport teams utilizing the stadium. They are working around all the sports teams. I’m fine with them doing it in 3 phase. Would it be nice to snap your fingers and bam it’s all done? Yes. But would hate to shut down Bulldog Stadium for 9 months to a year and sacrifice a senior player the right to play at Bulldog Stadium in front of that home crowd.
  23. @Mr. Buddy Garrity he’s back to dancing lol
  24. Solid win for the dogs!
