Lumberton has made the playoffs what 3 years? I know for sure it was the 07, 08 and 15 seasons. But anymore?

If the 5A/6A games are on Friday the stadium is available for Saturday. As well as the 3rd and 4th place teams as well as all the other teams not make the playoffs their stadium is available. But I do believe all should go to this format nothing like working hard all season to get that one more game on your turf.

Very true with all you said. As well as he actually might be getting paid same amount or more and not have head coaching job duties and stress that comes with it. BISD pays very well. WOS not so much.

It’s a Great Great hire for BU! Been knowing Jeff for a long time. Great guy and can coach some great baseball. Hopefully the kids buy into the program and he can make them a competitive ball club.

BU is a lot closer to get a ring then wos. He might be chasing that to have under the resume

From our friends that moved from PNG to lumberton said it was worse then PNG. You still have a league as a whole which is a joke. But said the organization wasn’t good at lumberton and lots of parents fighting just like every weekend. And of course daddy ball, and the countless of other stuff that goes on

Which is why he needs help. It’s not fair to English especially the way he has turned the program around with his tenure being there. It’s time to reward him and give the man the help he deserves and the tools to reach the next level.

Smith does is basketball thing. And is in charge of that. I wish they would bring him up and give English a great assistant for the basketball side of things.

I saw a segment and read the HOU Cron on this game. KP show great class and character to Santa Fe. Hats off to them for that. Good season Santa Fe prayers to all, heal up fast and we will see y’all come the fall.

Good for Chris. He has his great supporting staff on the team and his dad always to lean to and to help him. Now there is a certain coach at the middle school ranks to bring up to the varsity level to replace Chris’s position.

Wow tough tough loss for the Dogs. He could call some defense, his game plans were always scrappy just like most of defenses he coached. Enjoy your retirement coach! I wonder who will replace him? Outside hire or someone current on the staff?

He has quite the resume to be considered one of the best. I would say Jack Dallas would be in the consideration as well 3 football state championships 2 wins and and a state championship appearance in baseball. 2 time MVP honor at state championship game. Willie Ray Smith Award winner.

Offensive. He went to high school at Nederland. coached at La Porte during there hey day several round deep at the highest classification. Then went over to png for 3 or 4 seasons? Playoffs couple rounds deep every year. Now over at PAM with the new coach getting hired. He is a offensive line coach and most of his stops he has been on several winning teams as a player and coach and knows how to win. Young guy and eager to get the “job” with plenty of winning tradition on his resume
