does anyone know the status of Brett Brown? That kid is tough as nails. He played on one leg most of the night but seems like the other leg gave way late in the game. Prayers are with him for a fast recovery.

Yeah but they have decided that it's not in their best interest to play again next week. A two game skid is much better than a three game skid so at the request of all concerned parties BH has decided to end their season. Had they still possessed an unbeaten record then they would have considered alternatives, but in light of the current situation they have elected a warm bye bye and shall turn their complete and uninterupted attention to basketball where they will again show their invincibility. I'm pretty sure tonight was the ugliest game I've seen in a long time. It's a win and we'll take it but by the end I was about ready to shoot myself in the foot. That seemed to be a popular thing to do. GCM was the most undisciplined "football team" I can remember seeing at varsity level. Someone could make a lotta cash clipping vocal cords with that bunch of geniuses. They had more penalties for mouthing than offensive output (well probably not but it sure seemed that way.) Neds defense was pretty good but if the dogs want to get past next week some phases of the offense (including some play calling) need addressing. I hope to wake up tomorrow, forget this game and watch PNG play. Maybe it's the full moon but IMO this deal was crazy. On a lighter note 19 4A is having their collective *sses handed to em. I predict that in the next couple days they will squeal like shoats (little pigs) bein mauled by housecats, then maybe go away. Pull it together dogs. You'll be fine. Next round you might see a real football team instead of what passes for football in 19-4A. ;)

Crosby had a linebacker injured. Wow. I thought I saw #33 all over the field. He looked like a linebacker playing hard to me. If more Crosby fans would have shown up maybe the players would have noticed and that mighta helped. The Crosby players were playing for pride in themselves because evidently not many people in Crosby are fans. Any coach makin a game plan around 1 linebacker or any other position is rather short-sighted. Good luck next year.

Congrats Vidor. You looked good. Not Bad for a 204A D1 2 seed mauling a 194A D1 1 seed. If this Crosby team beat BH last week then BH better play their arses off to beat Ozen. Just my opinion but 204A looking pretty good so far. Gona be a good weekend of football. ;)

Yep they sure have. I thought we were talkin farther back than that. Ned got their butts handed to em. No One Knows that better than Ned. I don't think that happened before the last 2 years in forever and don't think it'll happen this year. We've had a few down years in the last 15 or so but who in 4A football hasn't. after this weekend all the speculation will be over. Good luck and it should be a great game with PNG.

The best team in 20-4A usually has to fight for a playoff spot in 20-4A. If it weren't a tough district that wouldn't happen. When WO-S was in this district they had back to back 8-2 seasons because they lost 2 district games each year and didn't make the playoffs. You might want to research some of your BS cause with the exception of Dayton how far has any 194A team made it in the tournament. [/quote] I was kinda vague but is really true. I posted my picks earlier in the thread. I believe Ned PNG and Vidor win. I believe after BH studies all the film vs Crosby they see what they must do to stop Ozen cause Panthers seem to be very similar to Crosby. Are my opinions without merit? Probably because I haven't see Dayton, Crosby, and haven't seen GCM or BH since Ned games earlier in the season. I lean toward 20-4A cause that's what I watch. Not being a homer on purpose but my dad is 84 and we don't miss Ned games. I will watch Ned PNG and Vidor this week. I support and respect all kids that play these games because it's painful, and the greatest game in the world. After the season ends in about six weeks I'll hibernate, reflect on the season' and look forward to next year 8) 

GCM VS NED- UH I DUNNO DAYTON VS PNG- UH I DUNNO CROSBY VS VIDOR- UH I DUNNO OZEN VS BH- UH I DUNNO that's why you gotta play the games. ;D

GCM-Ned. This could be a nail biter. Hard to beat a team twice in one year. Real hard to beat them three.Both well coached and not the same teams that met last a couple months ago. They should be pretty good friends by now. Nederland must bring their A game. I think Ned wins. PNG-Dayton. Speed vs. finesse and great offensive coaching. May be one of those last possession wins. Should be great game. I think PNG and their fan base wins. BH-Ozen. Ball control and big tough defense vs. speed and explosive offense. After watching Ozen-Ned game I believe Ozen is the hottest team in our district. Not saying they're the best. Suspect defense, but some real D1 prospects there. BH has a fine team but I honestly don,t know on this one. Crosby-Vidor. Tough physical vs gifted athletic ability and speed. This year Vidor is better than I ever remember and I,m old. Crosby has those twins and other born athletes. If Vidor can contain the edges and pound Crosby defense they'll win. My opions. Trying to think before typing but not always good at that. If Ned would have left the starters in after a 21-0 lead 2 plays into the 3 rd and really hammered lcm we would be hearing about how unsportsmanlike running up the score was. You watch enough football you're gonna see officiating calls you don't agree with. Grow up and deal with it or become an official so you can right all the wrongs you've been dealt over the years. Orange county officials called this game so spew venom at them if you need to vent. The call you question was a non issue in this game. Of course another option is to improve your program. Lack of success isn't always someone els'es fault.

It's down to the cod cuttin. If Ned loses any focus in this game (don't think they will; but just sayin) THEN they could be surprised. All the pressure is on Ned to execute and have field discipline. Ozen has nada to lose and are fighting for their playoff lives. Look for Ned to pound in the middle and Ozen trying to get to the edges. It wouldnt hurt my feelings to see a spy on that qb. 4 th qtr hasn't been an issue the last couple games. That could change in this game. Pass coverage could be loose both ways. This one should be won in the trenches. Need to leave it all on the field. I think Ned wins the game and district.

Cody Sheppard at Ned is one of the finest young coaches in the region. His 5 year record prior to this season was 46 wins 4 losses. He'll be a big name varsity coach.

it don't matter who played or didn't. Ned still beat the brakes off Liv. their peeps insisted they were several great backs deep at that position. The unthinkable happened and Ned just got lucky.  ??? Whoever was doing all the talkin on their somewhat flawed predictions are missin in action. Musta got lost on the same bus as their secret weapons and a few other missing parts. I did see that all them green hats made it over last night but the a** that was supposed to be attached didn't show. Hope they all get back sooner or later. The downside of bein invincible is the thought process that makes you that way. Liv will get in the playoffs and I would like to see them play BH first round. I know i"m sellin out 20 4A with that but maybe Liv would get some pointers on how to run their offense. if you're gonna talk the talk make sure your a** shows up.

Haven't had a chance to see Ozen yet. Have seen Vidor. Ozen's QB is the real deal. He was good last year. Probably better this year. Vidor has good defense. Pass cover well. I hear Ozen has speed in the skill positions. Vidor is quick to the edges. I think this game is about containing the outside. Have to give Vidor a slim edge up the middle. Real physical. Flip a coin on this one. Too close for me to call. Comes down to special teams and turnovers. Should be a good un.
