  1. another blocked punt leads to very short field. 27-7 HF 3:10 2nd Q
  2. 8-7 HF blocked BC punt out of back of end zone. 9:26 2nd Q
  3. I'm not entirely sure how many were out Friday night. I do not think anyone missing was covid related. QB1 was out (hopefully back after bye), we lost a starting LB in scrimmage (out for season). Lost starting TE in Tarkington game (not sure if for the year yet). Starting LT out for season. Another OL starter hasn't played yet this year hopefully will be ready after the bye. Missed another starting LB Friday night, hopefully ready after the bye. Couple of other guys out, not starters, but depth is a major issue at the moment. None of that matters, every team has injuries. Adapt and overcome... As far as the old baseball routine, Fielder, King, Abate, Bearden, Collins all played Varsity baseball last year and are all on the football team Hallman would be on the list also, but is out for the year. We have several others on the football team who played JV baseball. I know its a popular talking point on this site, but believe it or not, kids do play both sports here in BC. Baseball coaches also coach football. BC changes coaches about every 4 years on average, hard to build consistency starting at the lower levels when most of those kids see coaching changes between 7th and 12th grade. Like I've said before, the kids love these coaches. It takes time.
  4. Yessir. The kids love him and have to keep working. We’ve had some bad luck, but every team does. The boys have to adjust and get better.
  5. 20-0 Huffman at halftime. BC gets ball to start 2nd half.
  6. The battle between Demetrius Hunter and Amier Washington should be fun to watch.
  7. I think this was used in BC game at Buna last night.
  8. #99 for LCM is a monster. Is that Amier Washington?
  9. I believe BC had 3 scores and Lumberton with 1. I saw some things I liked, but also some things that still need work. Two of the scores for BC were on long passes. BC defense had several big 3rd down stops. Oline has to play better. We are missing a huge piece from last season, but the new guys have to step up. I don't think I'll make it to the LCM scrimmage this week, dang Thursday night curveball
  10. BC at Lumberton tomorrow at 6 or 6:30.
  11. I’m still around….Not much to talk about so far. I really like Coach McGuire, and the kids are responding positively. Looking forward to the season.
  12. Im listening to KOGT on Tune in radio app, audio sounds just barely slowed. Anyone else hearing that?
  13. Hopefully he is given the opportunity to build a culture. It doesn't get much better than Austin Westlake, and coaching under a legend like Todd Dodge. Obviously he can't bring any of those studs with him, but hopefully they can coach up what we got, and install a program that everyone in BC will get on board with. We have had 10 different head coaches since 1974. It is absolutely impossible to build a program when every 3 to 5 years there is a change at the top. Pulled my info from the Orange leader article....
