Lum-R will lose to PNG-W and VID-W unless those two teams lose some key players
That's a tough one...I have seen all 3 play...a couple of them more than once. I think any of these 3 teams can win against each other on any given day.
actually they did there was a article about it
ALL is a pretty strong word.  Are you saying there are no good players on the Lumberton team?
My point exactly...that's what happens when an uneducated person spouts off generalities and heresay with no facts or documentation to back up a claim or arguement...
 3. Bruins lose this one...beating Central by a single score should tell the story. To put it kindly, they need to call this a "re-building" year, and kindly move on...
Dream on...they are a really good team...an awesome team...but there's a couple better ones. Vidor W hasn't played a top tier team yet. 1. Lum W - They beat a real good PNG G team 2. PNG G - Hung 32 against Olexa's White team and Vidor will put 32+ on "Olexa's" team... 3. Vidor W - great team, just not proven yet 4. Lum R - Solid like Vidor W 5. Bmt B or PNG W That's how I see it for now...with these kids, it could change every week! I haven't forgotten about small school, I just haven't seen any of them play yet.
LOL.. You must have not seen them play!!! I have and I also have seen Lum-W,PNG-G and that Vidor W team will put 32+ on them!
You know, talkin' trash is fun, but backin' it up is even better.  Lucky for you, VID W won't play LUM W in the regular season. Like I said, VID W is a really good team, but they haven't played a top team yet...and yes, I saw them play...a very poor NED G team. The Flag kids could've beaten that Nederland Gold team. I feel like VID W CAN put 32+ on LUM W and PNG G too...they may just get outscored.  The reason I have them below PNG G is because VID W has had no opposition to speak of.  PNG G has played the top team in the division in LUM W. I almost put VID W 2nd, they just haven't had enough competition to merit that.  I look for them to do some good stuff this year, though.
Thats funny!
I feel a friendly wager about to take place. Are you telling me VID W goes undefeated?
I'll jump in on this.  I think Vidor White will go undefeated.  I don't gamble but I've seen these boys play and I don't see anyone beating them.  They are big, fast and well coached.  They might not even get challenged unless half their team gets sick or something.  Great job coaches!
All bloded above is true...the only thing is they have not faced a fire and ice test of a formidable opponent yet.  We'll see how this shakes out. I know of at least 3 other teams that CAN beat them...whether they DO beat them remains to be seen.
 8.
I agree with almost all, but LCM over Ned Black?
I knew someone was gonna call me on that one...just a gut feeling...that's all. Probably gonna eat my words on that one, but who knows.

West Virginia Lamar ?
He is at Blinn College. He is currently sidelined with a knee injury.
Started out at Lamar though...made a decision to duck the QB controversy and go to a smaller school where he would get more reps is my understanding.

 11.
Kris Gilmore, one of the more dominating TE's at the 7th Grade "B" team level. Kris came off the ball hard, maintained his block well and was able to catch the 5 yard deep ball routinely. Later dropped the sport to focus on running....the rest is HISTORY!!
This about sums up this thread, now doesn't it... ;D  ;D  ;D
 12.
Is Lumberton really that bad? They still run that 3 back set?
It's not the scheme (necessarily)...it's the lack of skill and size.
 13.
I talked to one of the raiders players and he said they are so ready for this game! Hope that's a good sign
Sorry RaiderGirl92...Silsbee wins this one... The hopeful gleam and sparkle in a teenage boy's eyes about a wish he wished while sleeping soundly in a room decorated with athletic placques and ribbons and posters of NFL players doesn't change the fact that Lumberton doesn't have the personnel this year to beat Silsbee.  Even if E.T. came out of the sky, touched the center of the field with his glowing finger and said, "Win"...the Raiders still lose.
 14.
Small School 1. WOS 2. LCM 3. BC-W 4. KTZ 5. OF
You may be right about BC-W...they lost both games, but it was to the top 2 teams, WOS & LCM.  The only thing is they will have to beat the rest of the conference teams to even be considered for a top 3 spot...KTZ and OF may have something to say about that. I would have no problem calling them a top 5 pick...just not a top 3 pick.  Good luck to all.
 15.
Can I have y'alls opinion on the small school division rankings? Just curious
Here's how I see it bradyb... 1. WOS 2. & 3. LCM & KTZ (pick the order) 4. & 5. OF & BC-R (pick the order) Catch WOS on a bad day, and you might beat them...otherwise, the go undefeated in conference play. KTZ needs to stiffen up its defense before it can be picked as the solid #2 spot. OF is the sleeper, in my opinion...don't count them out.
 16.
Anyone?  Can we please get some scores posted?
It's been my experience that they will be on there by Tuesday (today.).
 17.
Lumberton better start winning games or they wont have to worry about the stadium renovations because they will be EMPTY!Silsbee wins almost as big as BH did in a blowout.
Lumberton may lose every game this year, but the stands will still be full on the home side. After winning only 1 game last year, did you see how many traveled to Barbers Hill? Gotta give it to the Raider fans...their team may suck, but they stick with their boys.
 18.
Don't get caught up in the hype. Trust me, this is exactly what they want. You have some of the best athletes that STJFL has ever had to offer. Arguably the most Dominate pw team ever and they WILL try and break them up or make your season Miserable. They can't beat you on the field but they can beat you behind closed doors, ask P.A
Ok...the bolded part makes sense (which is rare for Ocho). The red part is retarded...  BMT B is being bashed because they are an awesome class act team who is awesome. P.A. (also an awesome team) broke the rules and received disciplinary action.  Don't confuse the two...
 19. Does anyone know the PNG W / NED W score?

Believe me i do not have a voice after a football/baseball game. I have coached 5-6 years in the past and at that age they respond better to praise verses yelling and telling them what they have done wrong. As they advance to the next level (PeeWee/Jr/Sr) and they know more about the game then you step it up a notch. Just saying, I could see the look on the kids faces when the coach was yelling. They really did not know what they were doing wrong, I my opinion it confused them more because they kept making same mistakes.
Dude...I was being facetious...
annnd the only word in the english language that uses the vowels in order!......
I learned that in the 5th grade...that's hilarious.  Do you think that kids that don't know what facetious means should be yelled at?
 21.
I'm supposed to talk smack. This is what it's about. Sometimes I'm wrong and sometimes I'm right. Just like y'all. I'm gonna keep talking smack even if we were the worse team in the league. We are the only 2A school in the league and still compete. We are in this league to play big and better teams to get the kids ready for middle school and high school football. If we always play the big schools like everyone in this league, then in MS and HS when the kids are playing 2A schools, they will have the advantage. Don't take my smack talk serious, it's just having faith in my organization.
Just be happy that KTZ is in small school...WOS is the only real team in that division that can hang with any of the other teams no matter what division...and you better lookout for Orangefield too.

 24.
I have been involved in youth sports (baseball/football) for 10+ years and never witnessed a coach demoralize a group of 5-6 years as I did this weekend in a Flag Football game. I am not going to identify the team because this is not what this post is about but I witnessed it at the PNG fields this past weekend. Youth sports especially at 5-6 years of age is a time to help kids learn the game and make it fun for them. From the start of the game to the end (even when they were winning) the coach continued to yell and correct his players with no praise what so ever. With STJFL affiliated with USA Football and having to take the courses to be a coach, he sure did not represent STJFL OR USA football in a proper manner. If my son was on the team, I promise there would some words exchanged. Youth sports have really taking a down hill slide the past several years, it seems it more about the winning and the parents. We as coaches and parents really need step back and let these kids have fun and teach them the fundamentals of the game. I promise you the wins will come in due time.
I think yelling at the kids, whether winning or losing, makes them better players, better people and eventually better parents.  I always yell at my kids.
