  1. This ^
  2. Not being argumentative, but what’s your point? Taking a gun safety class wouldn’t have made a difference.
  3. Lock & load.
  4. A guy that murdered 21 people with a firearm ain’t gonna fail the test.
  5. I think we are saying the same thing. I’m just accentuating the mental health aspect.
  6. I agree, I don't know the answer. I would say it's time to find out...
  7. What will giving a potential shooter a test gain? Are you afraid he's going to hurt himself while murdering kids? I haven't quite understood the classes or certifications for owning a weapon in regards to hindering killers.
  8. I hate to disagree, but “a very distant 2nd” is not true in my opinion. Unless you do at least both of those things, you are not going to be effective at curtailing the school shooter problem.
  9. You’re making my point. IN ADDITION to hardening schools, more focus and emphasis should be put on recognizing and acting on the mental health of these people.
  10. That’s why hardening schools alone is not the only answer. You gotta address the real issue which is some young dude (generally) who has some screws loose.
  11. Nothing to address mental health?
  12. Yeah, I don’t plan on turning in my weapons either.
  13. Exactly. Or even unloads from the bottom of the stands into the seated spectators. By and large, these attackers know in the backs of their minds they’re probably not going to survive the event.
  14. I agree with “hardening” schools too. But what happens when some wing nut shows up to the football game at homecoming or any other scenario outside the walls of the school and decides to go on a rampage?
  15. It's a comedy of errors. I am sure a culmination of things are to blame. Whether you be a Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Independent, etc., this will continue to happen if the Mental Health issues are not addressed as one of the problems. I have several rifles and pistols (including AR's) with higher capacity magazines. I don't plan on giving them up either. But if there was an extended wait period (say 2 weeks) to get those or a mental evaluation to get those, I would be ok with that. If I could no longer drop off lunch to my kid at school and the schools were locked down, I would be ok with that. It might slow things down, but it's not going to stop the assaults. Address the mental health issues of these individuals and the harms of social media, the degradation of the nuclear family and the lack of faith-based upbringing in our society today, and you might be able to do something about it.
  16. That’s just not how it works anymore.
  17. It's a slang (some would consider it derogatory) for LGBTQ - it's easier to remember too... AKA the Alphabet People.
  18. I'm sickened by it. I'm just glad my Dad, a 30 year Marine vet, never had to see it come to this.
  19. He started the NASCAR race by waving the green flag. It was LMNOP week for NASCAR, and it upset the LMNOP Community for allowing Abbott (who put forth measures to not allow the disfiguring and re-sexting of children) to be the one to start the race. Personally, I love it... Lol.
  20. Definitely a whack job, but a good actor all the same...
  21. Especially a gumbo spoon.
  22. Well, that's true. I can attest to that!
  23. That’s mostly pistols in crime ridden areas.
  24. A dog has a mind of it’s own. A gun can’t turn in you by itself.
  25. You got my point. And cars kill WAAAYYYY more people than AR’s btw. AND you can drive one by yourself when you’re 16.
