  1. Zane Williams,Logan Moore I think these 2 may be 1 & 2 for Deweyville in rushing yards in the history of the school.
  2. NewtonBroadcaster, Will all the coaches be back this year? I played for Coach Thompson many moons ago. All his former players respect him very much.
  3. In high school my motivation was a board on the BUTT.
  4. Wow!!! Kicker laying the law down with that statement. I wish they would play that game on a Sat. night so all of the area could watch.
  5. Kicker, I'll meet you half way on this one. The student must still want too play and to play he knows he has to be in class.
  6. Deweyville vs. LCM Deweyville has everything to win. LCM has everything to lose. Will never happen but trust me Deweyville would love to see it.
  7. It's not a coaches job to baby sit 24 hours a day. If the kid WANTS to play he will make it to class.
  8. If the coach would of put you in the 4th qtr. you all would of won state!
  9. Replay!!!!! The other teams are going to love that! What were the powers to be over there thinking?
  10. I wish I was back in the 80's and know what I know now.
  11. I agree Cat22. What about those early 80 Hebert Panther teams? Talk about team speed I felt like I was not even running. They could FFFFFFFFFFFFFFLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Coop, I was at a game in Deweyville several years ago and I am 6'-0" around 260 lbs and those kids from Hemphill walked by me and I had to look up to them. I ask one of them if they were not the Jets. BIG BOYS!
  13. This could be a hard one. Could teams from the 80's play with the best from today?
  14. LUMBERTON!!!!!!!! remember they have been playing together since they were born and never lost! Anything less than a undefeated season will be a major let down there. From what I have been reading playoffs or new coach will be on the market.
  15. Kicker, I hope everybody (WOS92) knows we are just having fun. The only thing missing from Deweyville is teeth and WOS is belts. Everybody there wears there jeans at there knees. Just think how fast they could run if they wore them at there waist.
  16. A Football Story The coach had put together the perfect team for the New Orleans Saints. The only thing missing was a good quarterback. He had scouted all the colleges and even the Canadian and European Leagues, but he couldn't find a ringer who could ensure a Super Bowl victory. Then one night, while watching CNN, he saw a war-zone scene in Afghanistan. In one corner of the background, he spotted a young Afghan Muslim soldier with a truly incredible arm. He threw a hand-grenade straight into a window from 80 yards away. Then he threw another from 50 yards down a chimney, and then hit a passing car going 80 miles per hour. I've got to get this guy!" coach said to himself. "He has the perfect arm!" So, he brings the young Afghan to the States and teaches him the great game of football ....... and sure enough the Saints go on to win the Super Bowl. The young Afghan is hailed as a hero of football, and when the Coach asks him what he wants, all the young man wants to do is call his mother. "Mom," he says into the phone, "I just won the Super Bowl!" "I don't want to talk to you," the old Muslim woman says. "You deserted us. You are not my son!" "Mother, I don't think you understand," pleads the son, "I've just won the greatest sporting event in the world!" "No! Let me tell you," his mother retorts. "at this very moment there are gunshots all around us. The neighborhood is a pile of rubble. Your two brothers were beaten within an inch of their lives last week, and I have to keep your sister in the house so she doesn't get assaulted!" The old lady pauses then tearfully says, "I will never forgive you for making us move to New Orleans"
  17. Well you covered the question of not playing. That's what I guessed.
  18. Be assured the Bulldogs will do just fine against Cleveland. Hope someone can give us some updates afterwards.
  19. Good luck to Tib , Johnny and the Sharks.
  20. wos92 to your question: The toothbrush as we know it today was not invented until 1938. However, early forms of the toothbrush have been in existence since 3000 BC. Ancient civilizations used a "chew stick," which was a thin twig with a frayed end. These 'chew sticks' were rubbed against the teeth. The bristle toothbrush, similar to the type used today, was not invented until 1498 in China. The bristles were actually the stiff, coarse hairs taken from the back of a hog's neck and attached to handles made of bone or bamboo. Boar bristles were used until 1938, when nylon bristles were introduced by Dupont de Nemours. The first nylon toothbrush was called Doctor West's Miracle Toothbrush. Later, Americans were influenced by the disciplined hygiene habits of soldiers from World War II. They became increasingly concerned with the practice of good oral hygiene and quickly adopted the nylon toothbrush.
  21. WOS92 , Hey buddy this is a smack forum so if you can't take a little joke get out! Read all the forum before you shoot your mouth off. It's all in fun. Are you still mad because you didn't get to play?
