I hope the DOGS can pull this one out. The problem will be the Cougs overall team speed.

I'm the biggest Pirate fan around but not sure we could hang with that overall team speed. Don't get me wrong our kids will lay the leather on you if they could CATCH you. We just turned the corner last year with our first trip to the playoffs since 98. We want alot more this year. We have a Sr. class of about 12 that most of them have played on varsity since there freshman year. I think we have a good coaching staff on hand. But as for playing WOS to be the best you have to play the best. At least it would be a short bus ride! The Pirates respect the WOS program and Coaches.

High school sports in Texas is way ahead of the rest of the nation. There is nothing better than a Friday night.

Going to be a very tight district on who makes the playoffs. At this point I would not count anyone out and if anyone in this district THINKS they are a shoe-in for the playoffs may find themselves at home come playoff time. Going to come down to who wants it the most.

The big question is COULD LUMBERTON BEAT THE DEWEYVILLE PIRATES? I'll give the Raiders maybe 3 wins. Rome was not built in a day!

I would think they would put that on the GIRLS SOFTBALL TEAM'S(State Champs) field!!! They deserve it. JMO

They just put the grass down yesterday and put the water to it. Track is still being worked on. Don't know if there 1st game will be played there but sure they will play some games there this year. Oh it just has 1 scoreboard. It will be a nice place for a 2AA.

I hope Nederland and PNG win. It would be great for the area. Nederland has the better shot to win I think. PNG wil have to play a great game to pull there game out. Best of luck to both teams.

WOW 9 of the 11 statements were about Deweyville for a team that does not have much respect in this district they sure are talked about alot. I wish we had to put our real names on here it would be very interesting to see. I hope this is not a case of another person with sour grapes. The players are working hard to improve and deserve some respect. If you fitandfiddle want to bash a coach have the guts to talk to him in person(but we all know that will never happen). To the young men from Deweyville "Keep working hard and we are proud of you" To fitandfiddle (DontKnow) you must be very worried about Deweyville and you should be friend. To all the teams in the district best of luck and to all the young men working hard keep it up. fitandfiddle is DontKnow on another site. You bashed Deweyville on there also. Same material on the other site. Come up with some new bashing material that is getting old. You know hate can kill a man. I will PRAY for you coach.

Let's hope West Hardin doesn't think it will be that easy. Do not look past H.D. West Hardin could have a great season coming up if they take them one at a time. I wish both teams the best this coming year. I know they will both be playoff teams.

It may have some mistakes in it but I still buy it every year.

The Stangs sound like they are loaded this coming year.
