silsbee has the best chance.  there are some tough teams in their way, however.

in all fairness silsbee easily handled HJ cuz we had a terrible night shootin and couldnt get shots to fall consistently all nightt... it wouldve been completely different had we got our shot goin and if jacoby and jarvis couldve stayed out of foul troublee.. even with all that trouble we only lost by 10... i think if more ppl would know this then they would be giving us more of a chance..

That's all well and good. But did you ever think that the reason the Hawks shots weren't falling was because of the defense that the Tigers were putting on them? Silsbee contested just about every shot that HJ put up. They either had a hand in the face, blocked or altered 90% of HJ's shot attempts. Silsbee's on-ball defense was the reason for the Hawks poor shooting.

Come on guys and gals  its the second round  teams are totally different in chemistry, and  besides I will go with Silsbee over hudson, but Silsbee will not win by no doube digits. Number 23 from Hudson is the real deal.

I agree.  Silsbee should win.  But not by double digit margins.  Comparing Jasper scores is meaningless.  Jasper has improved tremendously since they played Silsbee.  Jasper has improved tremendously even since they played Hudson the first time at Hudson.  Consider:  first game Jasper lost 48-68, second game won 69-68. 

And yes, #23 is the real deal.  Last night if he had not been so good and forced Bailey to the outside, Bailey might have gone in for two and only tied the game instead of lofting a three over 23's head.  What a shot, with 23 right on him, Bailey faded away, put a high arch on the ball, and swished it in.

j-dog  you got to understand, this sight is built around Silsbee and Hardin Jefferson, these guys only  care about those teams, I respect Silsbee and Hardin Jefferson, and the only person I ever heard give Spikes and BAILEY the respect was Silsbee coach and HARDIN Jefferson coach, but I am giving Robinson, byars and the Silbee team respect, just like I give HJ and its players respect. Keep up the good work Spikes and Bailey, believe me they remember yall  from last year, they just forgot, because yall are in the 18-3A race now not 21-3A.

Hudson losing to Huntington im Hudson???? ur nuts!!! Hudson by 25+... And Hudson already could beat Hj or silsbee hands down!!

Hudson would blow Silsbee out of the gym!.....be a good game for Hudsons subs to get to play... ;D

Thanks AggiesAreWe for posting the box scores.  As you can see with a 40 point lead coming out after half Silsbee really turned on the pressure and held the Horns to 2 points in the third.  Then with a 68 point lead going into the 4th, the "MIGHTY TIGERS" CONTINUED TO PRESS AND PLAY MAN DEFENSE!!!

Did Silsbee and Hj stay the same?

Silsbee comes out with a hot start then Shannon hits a pull up jumper at the buzzer and goes into the half up by eleven. Then HJ makes a couple of minor adjustments at the half. Meanwhile in the Silsbee locker room all proud of themselves thinking the are about to blow out HJ big. But with the big-head Silsbee  suffers early in the half and HJ starts with a 7-0 run. So down four, it becomes a slugfest. Back and forth both teams are hitting tough shots and with 4 minutes left the game is tied. Both teams get some key stops but cant capitalize on the other end. And with about 30 seconds left Robinson drives the lane but misses the shot! Oh wait! Who is that? It is Hill for the put back bucket. The Hecklers are stunned! HJ calls timeout now down two with 19 seconds left. The draw up the final shot for Jarvis. Jarvis gets the screen from Turner at the top of the key. The whole defense collapses on him and he finds a wide open trey in the corner. Trey shoots and nails the trey at the buzzer and the hawks win! Hawks win! Hecklers storm the court everywhere and Silsbee is left in sorrow!

Sorry I just looked in my crystal ball and thats word for word what it told me. I apologize again for ruining the whole thing for you. Im just psychic. If you don't want to go to the game now cause you know how it ends and want to go to the Nederland game and root on the dogs you are more than welcome too. Haha  ;D ;D ;D

Less than a week till the game Hardin county has been waiting for 10 almost 11 months.. I would like to hear everyones honest opinion, especially those that are unbiased.

Last I'll say on the issue and I'm done beating this dead horse...

I'll take 7 points, 10 boards, hustle and showing appreciation to your team from any player on any team. Especially if the player is facing a TOUGH double team almost all game.

What's the point in this? I am not sure the fashion in which this was won, press for 4 quarters or what, but busting the century mark on somebody who didn't even make 50 is pointless. I say don't pass up layups, but if any second half points were made outside of 10 feet then this is just pure and simple poor sportsmanship.

Who cares if they could have one by 125. What is the sportsmanship in that? I mean I understand if there is bad blood between teams but what do you accomplish in winning by that? I mean at some point you call off the dogs and work on things in a game situation that need improvement or let younger players or bench kids play.

Hj will win but the comment that has been made several times by w5 that they will win by as many as they want is a little over the top. Does that mean Sutherland and benard can tell the other team we want to win by 67 and it will happen? Let's not get carried away.

The post made by W518991.  He is a Silsbee fan and not a HJ fan.  So don't think that someone from HJ is posting that they can beat OF or anyone else by as many as they want to.

Maybe the Mustangs shouldn't even waste their time showing up.  I know that I have been guilty of downplaying the effect that the other team has on my team's poor playing, but you gotta give Coach Quinn and these players a little credit.  BTW, congrats Silsbee on the win, looks like another year, another playoff run.

I think the Coaching staff has done an outstanding job and the program is definitely headed in the right direction

How will HJ match up with WOS??

HJ beats WOS by as many as the want ......it's a 2 team race as expected.....30 Jan!!!!

I dont know if anybody in this district will beat WOS by 42 cause they played good man to man defense..........

But WOS need some good offensive players to compete in this district.....

HJ was simply on fire. They hit 15 and it seemed they only shot 19 of em lol.

Was it close at the end of 1 and at the half???  To outscore them by 18 and win by 16 I would think so.  We could not tell with all of the BS score posting going on.
