When Cleveland beat Silsbee tried to tell you guys that Cleveland wasn't that good.. Robinson had broke hand and Silsbee missed 26 shots in the paint and 17 free throws..They have not played anyone since then and we have all seen cold springs and liberty play..Absolutely no reason for Hj to be overly concerned about CLeveland ...they are just ok...HJ absolutely beats CLevelandI also heard that their 5 starters are 4 sophomores and a junior? Is that possible?
Is there any truth to the rumor that Cleveland has a great point guard known as "little Smokey"?

actually they have a legit big kid move well they run their offense thru him..their guards handle the ball well they are very solid defensively..still believe it's game for HJ/Silsbee as usual in regional finalsThey have a big 6'5 like 300 pound kid but it will be hard to play good offense against them. They lack the experience but HJ never let size intimidate yall so I think yall match up well with them. If you play full court press defense on them then I think HJ can have a shot at beating them by 7+.

i was talking about the 3 HJ players not about shooting 3's i was trying to say i think Burrell, Bennard and Turner would be able to get to the rim because Navasota's big guys do not move all that well....would be surprised if Navasota beat HJHJ by 6.... big kids from navasota can protect basket..HJ's big 3 get to the rim all night
Last time I checked HJ has not been that hot from 3 point land........... :

If any one has a chance to win state it's PAM. After losing the first district game on north shore's home court, we ran 21 AAAAA with our shut down D,blowing everyone out @ home and away including NS and WB. Remember what I say, defense will win our State Championship, and thats no joke.because they play in 5a and have no chance to win state.

would not count HJ out under any circumstanceI will be very surprised to see HJ make to regionals. I think they might win first game but that is it. I am not being negative they just have to be on their game from here on out and I have not really seen that this season. Good luck to them.

The cause of silsbee's big men fouling out was turner and bennard consistantly getting to the basket and being able to attack them..you can not get beat up top that many times and not put your post players in foul trouble...great job HJActually both of Silsbee's big men fouled out with 5 and 4 minutes left respectively!!!!! Not much different than Ricossa.
Silsbee lost........quit making excuses!!!!!!

great game HJ ...how fitting for this group of seniors to get do this again.. most kids don't ever get to play in big games and now they are headed for 7 in 2 years doesn;t get any better than this..

Silsbee has many open gym coaches and they all are hall of famers and can tell you what you should do or even more accurate with what you should have done..they will also help coach your team all you have to is askI attended all three games last year and the first one this year and plan on being there tonight. Each time I have been near a Silsbee fan ( clean shaven head ) and he is always trying to coach the players individually from where he sits. (gets their attention and then shouts instructions to them before the ball is inbounded ) I was wondering if anybody knows if this guy happens to be an AAU coach for the Silsbee kids. Am surprised that the coaching staff tolerates this.

I would have to say that it is a two horse race. Robinson from Silsbee and Benard from HJ. Obviously my opinion is biased some what!!!!
;) Robinson does some things better than Benard and Benard does some things better than Robinson.
HJ is where they are because of Benard. He has less weapons around him and the Hawks rely on him more because of that reason. If you take Benard away from HJ then HJ is not the same team and would struggle to make the playoffs.
Robinson has more weapons and he is not relied on as much as Benard is. Silsbee did struggle in a few games when Robinson was out. However Silsbee is deeper and Robinson although a great player is not as important to Silsbee is Benard is to HJ.
I would say that Benard is more important to his team and say that he deserves the MVP!!!!!
Actually it would be great to share instead of having to give it to one and not the other as both are very deserving.
You know....it's kind of funny....
