If Coach Morrison still wants to play, Fairfield is looking for a game.

Bridge City will probably lose next week's game as well. LC-M, I haven't heard anything. Quite frankly, I am surprised that Deweyville is able to play as a number of homes are still without power, which is what prompted Buna to cancel its game. Vidor escaped the worst as they are on the western side of Orange County so they didn't sustain that much damage. WO-S just got power yesterday afternoon. Most of West Orange and just about all of Orange and Pinehurst are still without power and won't have that until tomorrow at the earliest. Hooks Stadium took some damage. The scoreboard was destroyed and the goal posts were twisted. Not to mention that many of the players who evacuated might still be out of town and getting them back to be ready to play next week would be difficult. Playing Newton isn't out of the question, but they are not in much better shape than the Greater Orange area is.

If they don't get that one in, probably not as the week after the Newton game they start district play.

It's very unfortunate that you don't because from where I am standing it is darned funny! And no.....it wasn't me. But I wish I did! An no.....I don't know who did it. Even if I did, I would never tell!

Well, I wonder how many times the following will happen: Fairfield, who had a player showing COVID-like symptoms, canceled its scheduled game with Brownsboro on Friday. Brownsboro finds a replacement in Sweetwater and will play in Aledo this Friday. Test comes back on the player with symptoms.......NEGATIVE. Now Fairfield is scrambling for an opponent for this weekend because they canceled even though they didn't have a confirmed positive.

According to reports, the students (not just football players) began falling ill after attending a party over the weekend.

Well, there were a number of collision contests this past week involving teams under our umbrella and so far, Diboll is the only one to has had to cancel because of COVID exposure with no evidence that tracing shows that it was due to exposure with another player who had it. Sure they won't be the only one, but it is not time to play Chicken Little yet.
