  1. Before they installed turf, he was doing that for every home game in West Orange.
  2. It was #12 Dayton Whitmire.
  3. I really don't think he is. While Jasper is that good, I think Newton had a bit of rust to shake off. The Mustangs will have that problem this week. They practiced about a total of 8 days since closing school to evacuate fpr Laura and haven't been on the field against another school since their scrimmage with Vidor back on August 20th. Not to say that the Eagles still don't have some rust to shake off. But one of the precious few positives that they can take from that game is that they did get some playing time in. I expect the Stangs to have some of the same issues that Newton had last week. Do the Mustangs win? I think so. Do they blow Newton out? No.
  4. Um, that prestigious program didn't get power until two weeks ago and some of those kids in that prestigious program just came home last weekend to houses that are so badly destroyed that in some cases, they are unlivable. Hey, you have a problem with how smaller schools are treated by some posters here? By all means come on and express your displeasure. But for you to bang on a school that had 120 mile winds roll through makes you look just as bad as the folks you appear to be chastising!
  5. I build it but they never come.
  6. Newton does not belong on this list. You can't have 2 losses having played just 1 game.
  7. To answer your question, a loss of any margin this week will probably knock Newton out of the Top 10. Two loss teams, even when that team is Newton, is very rare in the rankings.
  8. No, they play Kountze next week.
  9. Lady Warriors sweep
  10. Corrigan-Camden beats San Augustine
  11. Hardin defeats Trinity 3-0 (25-4, 25-16, 25-6) to improve to 13-2 and 2-0 in district
  12. The only one that I know of in our "area" that canceled (so far) was New Waverly at Hardin. Hardin substituted Hearne, whom New Waverly canceled on last week.
  13. I put the known scrimmages in this week's schedule:
  14. You're probably right, so I would add East Chambers and Kirbyville.
  15. West Hardin beats Spurger 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-13)
  16. 22-3A
