  5. Are we sure that it is 7 or just 6? [Hidden Content]
  6. A couple of apologies. First, my apologies for not getting Splendora, Kirbyville and West Hardin yesterday....my Thursday and Friday this week have been murder. They have been put up this morning. Second, the Gilmer Union Hill preview, scheduled for today has been rescheduled for later as I have received no information (not even a schedule) so I am unable to get a preview done at this time. So now back to our regularly scheduled program: Today: Splendora, Kirbyville, West Hardin, Port Neches-Groves, Liberty Tomorrow: Humble Summer Creek, Woodville, Iola
  7. Prayers that you find a suitable donor quickly.
  8. The only thing firm is that we will have Silsbee and Newton football. I believe we will have Kirbyville football broadcasts as well. As far as other shows, those are up in the air as some schedules have tightened up which might make the opportunities to do other broadcasts a little less likely. But then again, the summer is young.
  9. Coach Hickman will assume the defensive line duties of Coach Westbrook (who took the baseball head/football asst. coach position at Jasper). I don't know who is being tabbed to replace Coach Franks.
  10. Today: Beaumont West Brook, Tatum, Shelbyville Tomorrow: Splendora, Kirbyville, West Hardin Sorry about the delay folks, had to handle some business that took a lot longer than I first estimated.
  11. Best of luck to Coach Franks. Hate to see him go!
  12. Which coach?
  13. He is being housed comfortably in a home in the Greater Orange area. Although at this point, he being kept bound, and more importantly, GAGGED!
  14. Today: Lumberton, Corrigan-Camden, League City Bay Area Christian Tomorrow: Beaumont West Brook, Tatum, Shelbyville
  15. And again, this is not a thread, or forum forum for that matter, to engage in a general bashing of the Beaumont ISD. If you wish to do that, you can go down to the politcal or locker room forums where folks actually care about that sort of stuff. If you have opinions on the issue at hand as to whether the current position of BISD is folly or has merit, then this is the place because I certainly do. The more Frossard and Simmons speak on this issue, the more buffoon-like they sound. Do they seriously believe that they are in a position to lecture (not the quoted word but that certainly what was implied) the PN-G ISD on sportsmanship and that if the folks at PN-G do not listen that Frossard and Simmons are in a position to seek intervention of the UIL? There have been only two incidents that have either been reported by local media or noted on this site (and we have folks from both school districts going across several sports in the area) which appears to contradict Simmon's bold claim that "several sports teams" have had problems when going to Port Neches. And those only two incidents have painted Central as the aggressors. They just need to stop.
  16. Today: Barbers Hill, Brookshire-Royal and Burkeville Tomorrow: Lufkin, Hardin and Pasadena First Baptist
  17. Today: Channelview, Hamshire-Fannett, Lovelady Tomorrow: Barbers Hill, Brookshire-Royal and Burkeville
  18. 7 on 7 CAN be a useful tool. I know that Dontre Thomas benefited from 7 on 7 because if you look at his progression from his junior year (where he was taken out in passing situations) to last year, you could say he and others benefited from that.
  19. Today: Livingston, Jasper and Cushing Tomorrow: Channelview, Hamshire-Fannett and Lovelady
  20. Prayers for the Clayborn family.
  21. WO-S leads the WO-S/Nederland series 12-6 since 1992 (which was Neumann's first year). WO-S leads the WO-S/PN-G series 11-3 in that same time.
  22. WB lost to Manvel 32-19 in Round 1 of pool play at 2:00. 4:00 game is probably just wrapping up.
  23. While I think you are right about that, Simmons didn't specify just Central. This (to me, anyway) implies that other schools in the district have encountered problems, both having to do with player safety as well as "young people on both sides being treated fairly" as Frossard put it, when they traveled to Port Neches.
  24. I only ask this as Simmon's quote was referenced again in the article that Mack just posted: Aside from the red card and ejection of the Central soccer coach this year, is anybody able to educate the rest of us on the "various issues" that "several" of the BISD sports teams have endured in their visits to PN-G? This is a sincere inquiry so any posts other than those that try to give a sincere answer to the question hopefully will be avoided.
  25. Today: Buna, Orange Community Christian, Conroe Oak Ridge Tomorrow: Jasper, Livingston, Cushing
