Saw on kogt coaches on the move that former WOS standout and Jasper assistant Zane Anderson has been named new head coach at Beaumont United.

Well the last team in the area is through with the season.  For you “seniors”, and those guys interested in winning a state title - the 2020 season starts today.  Your four years in high school will fly by, and chasing a state ‘ship with your city team beats anything out there. Put in the work when no one is looking and start preparing now.  If this were football they’d be asking who has the best chance to win next year.  There would be five page discussions on who the new #1 pitcher (QB) would be for your team.

That was because Coach Hooker had not told the kids and neither Big Sandy ISD nor Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD had announced it as official.  Therefore it had been still in the rumor category and we do have rules against posting things like that,
Plus, the Wildcats were still trying to win a state championship so why distract the players (which Coach Hooker assured me do read this message board) with this news?
You'd think as a coach (which I have been told you are) that you'd be somewhat sensitive to that.........guess I was wrong.

Hate to see Coach Hooker leave.  Although my son graduated the year before he came to Big Sandy, it has been a joy to follow this team the last four years.  One regional final and three state championship games with two titles is a great accomplishment.  Best of luck to Coach Hooker, Johnna, and baby Josi.  Thanks for what you have done for Big Sandy.  As I've told Coach Hooker before,  I wish my son would have had the privilege of playing for him.

Best of luck to Jacob and his family.  He gave everything he had to Dallardsville and I am sure he will be greatly missed in that community and the entire SETX Sports community.

Coach Hooker took the head baseball coaching positon at 5A Saginaw Boswell in the Fort Worth area.

Seeing the teams still left, I would rank them as:
Sweeny, Robinson, Carthage, Hardin Jefferson, Lorena, Hudson, Huffman, Columbia
Would say Sweeny vs Robinson in the Regional Final.

Games 2 and 3 will now be @ PNG after Orangefield is done winning.

LCM was an upset for two reasons. 
1. Coach with 600 plus wins.
2. LCM has won 55 ballgames over a two year period. Argyle about the only other program that can claim that.
 
With that said, Liberty is having a very fine season of their own. Coach Kirkland has them playing good baseball.

Great high school game last night between 2 really good teams. Both starting pitchers went 7 complete and did about as well you could ever ask for, just outstanding. Good athletes all over the field on both teams, very fun game to watch. That district race will be a good one!

Seems like series record is closer han this. Always a battle between these two schools.
