Tenaha vs Centerville
Friday, 1:00 pm, Palestine
-
Playing a lot of very talented freshmen and sophomores. They could be 11-0 in a rebuilding year, not 8-3. Lost 2 games in the last minute, 1 on the last play.
Next year, everyone needs to keep their hands and feet inside the car, the ride will be about to begin.

Gonna get ugly early, a running clock will be the only thing to keep the Dawgs below 100!

SA beats HD like a rented mule. SA QB runs wild in this one.

"Tenaha, Timpson, Bobo and Blair" People like me that remember that old saying are telling our age.
Yep, the Tenaha kids on my high school fishing team (both football players, good ones too) told me I had a 20 year old mind trapped in a 75 yr old body.

Tigers 59 - Bears 0

Tenaha seems to be loaded. Heck, they always seem loaded, just more so this year. I suspect they have discovered how to clone good athletes. Congrats to Timpson on a great season, but they just pulled the short straw.
It's the water, they all drink the water from Flatfork Creek to the South and McFadden Creek to the North. However, all it ever did for me was turn me into a kidney stone factory.
Oh, by the way, our buddy, Chief Wolf Chili, from the reservation casino says the Tigers by 30. The Texas Hold'em Dealer and Men's Room Attendant both concur.

Pretty good win for Tenaha. I know Grey Ghost will be happy, but not quite the whip down some Tiger fans expected.
A "W" is a "W", the game was never in doubt. The Iola QB, after being popped hard a few times, started giving himself up by sliding on designed running plays instead being hit. That signaled the beginning of the end for Iola.

They finished 9-1 with their only loss coming to second place Fairfield in their district. They played a lot of 3A schools in pre district that weren't very good.So the 9-1 record really is not as good as it would be if they played better teams.I think you guys have a good shot to take them.
Huummmmmmmm. Not a good analogy it appears!

Tigers scored at will, running clock in late 2nd qtr. GCA held to one 1st down and negative total offense.

Lol, getting my games/teams mixed up. Senior moment, but I doubt there's much difference in the Wolves and the Tigers this year. Both formidable opponents.
Good luck to the SA Wolves also. Should be in the finals.
At 74, I have them all the time.

The beat down has begun!!

Could get ugly in 2nd half. Fast Tigers like big slow Bulldogs, tastes like chicken they say.

I'll say the Tigers start off with 3 touchdowns on each first play of their first three possession.
They've scored on the 1st play a number of times, as well as 1st & 2nd possessions. An interesting note is that in 2011, they scored on the 1st or 2nd play of every playoff game. It took 4 plays in the game at Jerry's World. 3 passes, 1 run!

Nothing confusing at all. SETXsports has a list of core SETXsports.com teams. Those teams, plus teams that are in those UIL districts are considered in our rankings.
For what it is worth, if Tenaha were eligible for the SETXsports rankings, the likelihood is high that the Tigers would have several votes for the #1 spot in our 2A-Private Poll.....I know they'd have mine.
It's clearer now....I have these senior moments.

Tenaha is not in the SETXsports coverage area for football.
That confusing since you include teams that are farther out of the SETX area than Tenaha, and they're not playing a team in the SETX area. Just Saying.
