Amendment approved: The Legislative Council approved an amendment to the reclassification and realignment policy as it relates to the conference placement of UIL member charter schools. The language will allow UIL staff the option to place charter schools as much as one conference above the conference for which their enrollment qualifies In short, UIL now has the option to force charter schools like Faith Family to play at least one classification up from their enrollment size.

UIL has rejected the proposal of not allowing freshmen to play varsity sports. They also took no action on shot clock proposal so no shot clock in the near future.

Going by the last time I spoke with him, I highly doubt it.

Right, McKinney. I agree, had he not hurt his knee in playoffs, I really liked their chances to beat Thorndale. I broadcast those regional games for Big Sandy that season. He played with tremendous heart.

I remember Thompson. He was a fantastic player. Also there was another post player that Foster had around the '08-'10 seasons that took them to state tourney that was pretty special. The semifinal loss to Muenster is what sticks out in many folks minds. The whole team shot poorly that game.

Correction, San Antonio. As for Angel, yes he was a great shooter but he also had a very very underrated post game. Loved how he used his body in that motion offense. I agree, as far as overall ability, Williams was better. But I thought Angel's basketball IQ was off the charts. Coach Foster would tell you that himself. Kevin Foster will always be in my top 5 coaching list as far as this area is concerned. Folks need to know that Coach Foster isn't just a coach. He also is the high school principal and AD. The man has a lot on his plate.
