UIL has waived the Friday night ban on video broadcasting for this season just like last year. Any school can video broadcast their games at home. Schools would have to get permission from the home team when they are the visiting team to video broadcast away games. Texan Live gets contracts from schools to buy the rights to video broadcast those schools games during regular season. Some schools prefer their own, some contract it out. Texan Live owns the rights to all playoff games, all classifications. They purchased those rights through the UIL. No school or any other video broadcast entity, can video broadcast a playoff game unless they receive written permission from Texan Live. Hope this helps you out.

KOGT is doing this game and not WO-S/Orangefield.

I don't think this group at Silsbee will be deeper than that 2017 team. That 2017 team actually had 9 players that went on to play either football or basketball at the next level. They were truly 12-13 deep. I'm just going off what area coaches have told me what they think about this group. All have stated that outside of Harris and Miller, there is no Adams, Bush or McCain. But they believe that both Harris and Miller can be those type stars if not already there. They also said this group is much deeper than what Adams, Bush and McCain had there junior and senior seasons. This talk is widely based on what these coaches saw in middle school. Silsbee had several weapons with this current group and not like when Adams and McCain were middle schoolers. I'll just say this, based on what I have saw and what others have told me, I will be very disappointed if this particular group doesn't at least make a state championship game appearance during these next 3 years. I honestly think they are primed to win another state championship. Maybe not this year, but in next three for sure.

As far as our coverage area teams,Texan Live has contract with Silsbee, Barbers Hill, PN-G, BISD, Huffman, East Chambers, Turner Stadium, Randall Reed Stadium, Dayton, Crosby and West Orange-Stark home games. Texan Live can only cover so many games due to personnel so sometimes teams that may have been broadcast before do not get in a particular week. Also, during the regular season, Texan Live and any other video broadcast, has to get permission from both schools, home and visitor, for them to broadcast a game. If one team says no, then no broadcast unless the home team has a contract with Texan Live for their home games. Texan Live has all the video broadcast rights to all UIL football playoffs. I am not aware of any contract between Texan Live and LC-M. I know that sometimes TL will pick some games and negotiate with those two schools participating in that particular game. I will say this, I know for a fact that Vidor has said no to TL in the past. Not saying this is the case for this game, but just saying.

Texan Live will not be doing this game.

The offense is the problem this year, not the defense. Defense is giving up an average of 22 points a game which is not great but not terrible. The offense only averages 13 points a game. With the skill set this team has, they should score 13 points in their sleep. Line play and QB play has to be the issue or it's a scheme issue or both. I don't see United defense allowing any team to score 50 or more points on them. So these predictions seem way over the top.

I was talking about Malik Jones.

I believe it's the Padillo Poll. Not sure. The reason DCTF does a top 25 in 6A is because that classification isn't broke down in Divisions.

Just forfeit this one game for now.

From Ashly Elam: High Island has forfeited Friday’s District 12-2A-DII game at Burkeville due to a lack of healthy players. Mustangs improve to (4-3, 2-0). Cardinals fall to (0-4-1, 0-2). As reported earlier this season Sabine Pass has also canceled their season. Deweyville will be awarded a District 12-2A-DII forfeit win Friday. The Pirates record sits at (3-3, 2-0)
