  1. Sometimes. Of the turnovers, some were of the dead ball kind and not live ball turnovers. Kountze would have to inbound the ball which allowed Orangefield to get back on defense.
  2. It's the only thing keeping me from going tomorrow night. Got to get up early Saturday for grand son's little dribbler game and birthday party. I have seen Central Heights but not PC. Think I'll try to catch PC when they come to Woodville or Hemphill. I have seen Nac and Lufkin and it's pretty early in district play for them. Right now, I'm leaning towards Coldspring at Onalaska or WO-S at Bridge City.
  3. After last night's results, these particular games for tomorrow night have got bigger: Beaumont West Brook at Atascocita (3 vs. 1) North Shore at CE King (key win to stay in playoff position) Nacogdoches at Lufkin (battle for 1st place) Port Arthur Memorial at Goose Creek Memorial (battle for 3rd and 4th) West Orange-Stark at Bridge City (winner takes solo 2nd spot) Splendora at Huffman (winner takes solo 2nd) Pollok Central at Central Heights (both teams undefeated, winner takes over 1st) Coldspring at Onalaska (battle for 1st place) Evadale at Sabine Pass (winner takes 1st place spot) Now the question is, which of these games do I need to attend?
  4. I saw that but game was played in Kirbyville and just thought it may have been played anyways.
  5. Anyone have this score from last night?
  6. Chireno 68 Colmenseil 23 Corrigan-Camden 62 West Sabine 36
  7. Been a long time. But this season is far from over. Both their losses to Splendora and Livingston were 1 point losses. I can see them getting wins against those two in 2nd half of district.
  8. King no longer has the big man. He was kicked off the team.
  9. Currently 5th. They finished with first half of district at 2-4. Wins over Liberty and West Fork. Losses to HF, Huffman, Splendora and Livingston. That districts standings have been updated from games yesterday.
  10. Newton 34 Pollok Central 58 Central Heights 41 Lufkin Pineywoods 38
  11. Final 77-43 Huffman
  12. Final 78-38 Hamshire-Fannett
  13. Final 92-72 CE King
  14. Final stats Score by quarters 1 2 3 4 F OF 12 6 13 15 46 Kountze 16 9 9 21 55 FT OF 4/8 50% Kountze 16/24 66% (went 12/14 down the stretch and made last 8 FT) 3 Point OF 6/20 33% Kountze 3/20 15% Rebounds OF 30 Kountze 30 Turnovers OF 28 Kountze 13 Fouls OF 14 Kountze 10 I don't have the shooting percentages from the field for both teams but I would guess neither team shot better than 30% overall. You can look at this game two ways. If Orangefield cuts down on turnovers they have a real good shot at winning this game. But, if Kountze would have converted on those turnovers by shooting the ball better, they probably win this game by 20+.
  15. Final 68-54 Anahuac
  16. Final 53-46 Vidor
