  15. Back to back terrible home losses. This actually deserves a spidersal comment.
  16. I guess my point is, if Baytown Sterling can play Beaumont West Brook to a 5 point game, then there are other teams out there that could be a threat on any given night. If the playoffs were a 3, 5 or 7 game series, then I wouldn't hesitate to make West Brook, United or PA Memorial heavy favorites. The better teams always wins a series. But when it comes to just a 1 gamer, lot's of things can happen. Looking ahead to a state semifinal match up when you are not even halfway thru district play, is the epitome of looking too far ahead.
  17. Veterans Memorial will definitely be Div. I. They are the largest school in their district. You also cannot rule out #9 SA Wagner. They will be Div. 1 as well. #11 SA Jay could go either way, DI or DII. But there are plenty of Region III teams to worry about first.
  18. Look above your post. It's explained.
  19. Might go to game tonight. $2 dogs, $2 fountain drinks, $2 popcorn.
  20. One of the greatest college baseball coaches of all time, Wayne Graham, made a statement some time ago that he always recruited multi sport athletes over straight baseball players. Said their mentality, toughness and all around athletic abilities were more important than being a baseball savant. I have always been about playing as many sports as possible, particularly at a young age. This bull about making an 8 year old play only one sport year round is nothing but selfishness from the coach. Plain and simple.
  21. West Brook and United go DI Nederland, PAM and BH would go DII, whichever of the three make playoffs. Baytown Sterling could put a wrench in it if they were to somehow make playoffs. They are the 2nd largest enrollment behind West Brook. Enrollment size goes as follows; West Brook Sterling United PA Memorial Barbers Hill Lee PN-G Nederland
  22. My schedule for this week: Tuesday Beaumont United at Nederland Wednesday CE King at Atascocita Friday Vidor at Silsbee Saturday Silsbee Little Dribblers (morning) LSU at Texas A&M
