The #8 state ranked Silsbee Tigers will travel down to Bobcatland to take on Orangefield in a pivitol 21-3A game. The Tigers are 2-0 after dismantling the Bridge City Cardinals Tuesday night, 106-42. Orangefield comes in 1-1 after losing to Hardin-Jefferson on the road. The last time these two met, Silsbee dominated the Bobcats in Orangefield, 66-33. But the two meetings prior to that were 1 point games, both in the Tigers favor. There is no reason to believe that this couldn't be another close one. Are you consulted by every public entity you pay taxes to? Are you provided a list of items everytime an agenda is set? Do you get a list from the government of all the choices they have for every project they are going to spend you tax dollars on? The reason I said hater is because he accused the school of having a history of underhanded dealings without providing ONE example. Making accusations without backing them up is BS. I just had a conversation with a friend of mine and the government subject was brought up. I know there are things that the government does that none of us will ever know about and I don't want to know.

The fact is, I was at the game and I know for a fact the score was not intentionaly run up on BC, it just fell that way. Same as this game from two years ago. But my point was you and no one else was criticle or even questioned HJ in that regard. the fact that you had to go back two seasons to find an HJ game comparable to this past Silsbee game might explain that one for you. i wasn't really active on here two years ago (with the exception of following some playoff games). HJ hasn't had a single game this season nearly as bad as the Silsbee/BC game, so why should people be criticizing them for running up the score? they haven't broken 100, and their largest margin of victory was 45 (against Milburn). That's nothing compared to Silsbee beating BC 106-42, Dayton 74-18, or Hardin 106-31! So speaking of glass houses, make sure you aren't the only one in the neighborhood who lives in one before you start throwing stones. I haven't been criticle of HJ running up scores, ever. I only pointed it out to compare the lack of criticism. I do not believe in blatant running up the scores, but that was not the case last Tuesday night.

How about The Examiner just come out and say "We think the PNG school board members are on the take". : Before anyone gets on me, I believe that PNG should report the list because it is the law even though I see no benefit in it. I am just enjoying the fact that they haven't. ;D

Some of our kids in Silsbee actually live more than 10 miles from the school(Caney Head), they manage.

Lets see why would a school teacher in Houston care about our transportation issue? Well anyway atleast your not one of those very out of touch with reality and very USELESS board members! I don't think that anyone argues that WOS is one of the few schools that gets bussed from activities, but we are saying that this is a need here and has been a need for some time! Whose fault is it that these kids aren't prepared to take these tests? How many times have some of these campuses been unacceptable? What personnel changes have been made at these unacceptable campuses? Who is held accountable? What is going on here has very little to do with anthing else but a few childlike board members with personal issues with certain people in the district and they are using what LITTLE power they have to get back at these people! wosUTRICEalum, It does bother me that you don't think a parent should be concerned about the safety of their child and only the education. I brought this thread back to show a couple(not all) HJ fans how the shoe is on the other foot. Donahoe almost outscores the entire opponent and is commented that if he hadn't fould out, he would have had more. Question for Bullets, why was he still playing in the 4th with that big of a lead? Note, no one has criticized HJ in this thread. i can tell you exactly why he was still in the game even though hj was winning by alot. the school record was 58 points in one game. coach sutherland wanted to see if donahoe could break it. but he ended up fouling out. Let me make it perfectly clear, I have no problem with Donahoe still being in this game. I was just asking a rhetorical question.

Donahoe fouled out in the middle of the 4th. Obviously the subs didn't need that much work if he was still playing. As for the Silsbee game, I think I have explained that one already. My point about these two games is nobody criticized this game but funny how some come on and question the Silsbee game.

Ending this bus program will not be the end all for the WOS athletic program. They will find a way to get the kids home. I was fortunate to have my own car when I was in high school, but alot of my teammates did not. But the ones that did, like myself, took our teammates home and it did not matter of race, religion, or social status either.

I see your point. But it is not like the basketball forum back in '07 was a ghost town. That was when HJ won their state title and there was plenty of banter going on between Silsbee and HJ. I just think that nobody else posted on this thread because they were okay with the results. There was nothing to criticize.
