  1. I agree with the bold part 100%.
  2. No, that's not what I am saying. Nobody will be limited to how much they can post. Everyone will be entitled to his or her opinion.
  3. I support my Tiger teams, but will respect anyone's differing opinion, good or bad. : : : :D Oh really AAW??? How ironic. I respect it, may not agree with it, but respect a person's own opinion. I'll argue my point always till proven wrong, but if someone thinks differently about my Tigers than I do, I can debate with them and still respect their opinion. Of course unless I know for a fact they are doing it only out of spite. I don't think this is the case though.

  5. The way I see it, Wildcat is entitled to his opinion on the subject of HJ being overrated or not. Some may disagree with him, some may not. There is no problem with defending your team and saying why you may disagree with someone. What's not okay is to ridicule someone for them stating their opinion about a team. It's quite alright to debate back and forth on what each person believes in but it's not okay to just dismiss someone for their opinion. To say he doesn't know what he is talking about and that he is just a hater is not fair. He is just giving his opinion on what he thinks HJ will be this coming season, nothing more. I am going to say this right now on this thread because I was asked to by several folks to speak on this before basketball season gets underway. I hope this does not offend any of my friends over at Hardin-Jefferson. This basketball forum will not turn into a HJ basketball dominated forum like another site became. We want all the area schools to have their day in the sun here on our site. I really, really appreciate what the HJ fans bring to this site but we are not going to allow them to just dismiss others for their opinions on the Hawk team. The same will go for any other teams in our area. You can defend your teams till the cows come home but your opinion means no more than anyone else's. If you disagree with someone's opinion on how good or bad your team is, then defend it with your own opinion or facts. But don't make it personal. I have been guilty of this myself and I am going to promise not to do that any longer. If Wildcat thinks the Hawks are going to have a somewhat down year, so be it. I don't see how that is a personal attack on the HJ fans, players, or coaches. He maybe pretty observant but only time will tell on that. I for one will not make such predictions, but that's just me.
  6. Doty wins again!! Doty didn't win last week. It was Caleb Harmon, RB for PNG.
  7. Oh, here was another score from that "fall ball" tourney. Wheatley 38 LN 20 0-3 for LN. Have they won a game in any of these "fall ball" tourneys?
  8. This prediction of the final score was very close. :
  9. So you being on the sideline will make up the difference of a 31 and a 20 point game? Guess what the other coach was not on the bench either. and was probably "holding back" or "letting others play" or "showed nothing" too. :
  10. You adressed this thread to Jasper fans. I am not a Jasper fan. I'll let them do the talking since the Bulldogs have played both teams. Howard, you and I both know Silsbee came prepared for Jasper.
  11. Yeah sounded like he could really elevate over the shorter McGill. Yes, Hup, he could. Lane is '6"3 and is one of Silsbee's top basketball players. Very skilled athlete.
  12. Prentice Lane, Junior Silsbee WR 6 receptions 150 yards 1TD (most of these catches were against this McGill guy)
  13. I was told that Silsbee 8th was up 22-6 in second half. The Tigers best player Spearman did not play the second half due to injury. He should be ready for this week though.
  14. Took the words right out of my mouth, Cap. Some very bogus numbers.
  15. Your comment about "you guys" would be more accurate if you said "you", as in one individual. Jasper won the game against WO-S hands down. Most of us who follow the Mustangs will readily admit that, but our common view gets overshadowed because we don't post every five seconds. With that said, the Mustangs will get things turned around, and last night was the first step in that direction. Next week's game will be intense. Amen, griff, amen. So true.
  16. I wonder if those 12 Div I coaches were in attendance? ;D
  17. Speaking of JV's, Silsbee's JV went undefeated in district play last year. ;D
  18. Westbury Christian 48 Lutheran North 17 Bellaire 41 Lutheran North 21 Thank you ******** for texting me these scores. ;D
  19. LAZEEK, you trying to make a point or something? BTW, how long did it take you to research all those quotes? ;D
  20. Touchy, touchy. Sarcasm at it's best. I watched HJ a few games this summer and I'll say this about them............ :-X ;D
  21. 4, 1 fumble, 3 INT's Jasper had 2 turnovers, both fumbles.
  22. Very misleading video. : I do understand the time constraints though.
