I learned of this tragic news during a commercial break last night in our game. I was completely heart broken to the point that I really did not want to finish the broadcast. My heart just sank. I have become good friends with several on the WOS coaching staff over the past few years. To Toby, Jimmy, Jesse, Byerly, my heart goes out to you my friends. To my WOS buddies here on the site, Gas, Griff, kicker, Gun, WOS-89, skipper and the rest of Mustang Nation, as a representative of the Silsbee Tigers, I am thinking of you guys and lift you up in this tragic time. To my two friends here on our staff, who bleed that blue and silver, Todd(WOSGrad), Kerry(KFDMCoop), my thoughts are with you two and lend you my support during this time of need. But more importantly, to the Garrett family, I, along with everyone here at SETXsports, lift you up in prayer during this tragic time. I spoke with Reggie just briefly earlier this season. But just in that small conversation, I could tell that Reggie was a fine young man to go along with being a fantastic athlete. [/quote] :o This from the guy who says you can't win scrimmages.  That was the laziest preformance I have ever seen from a Bears varsity team, albeit it was a scrimmage.  They will come to play against Lumberton.  Defense will be much more ready to play than in the first half of Caney Creek (250 first half yards allowed, 80 second half).  It will probably be one of the best played games in Bear Stadium this millenium by both teams [/quote] Nobody said Silsbee "won" that scrimmage. I was just going off of the performance. If we are making excuses, Silsbee didn't look all that sharp in that scrimmage neither. ;)

Last year, Newton squeeked out a victory with a 22-21 win in the last seconds of the game. The series is tied, 6-6. Silsbee enters the game 2-1 on the season after suffering their first loss at the hands of Lumberton last week, 21-14. Newton got their first win last week, taking down Corrigan-Camden 41-6, to improve the record to 1-1. I understand what you are saying about the noon start. It just so happens that the same production company is also helping in the live TV game Saturday night on KFDM's CW, the Katy/West Brook game, which is at 6pm. I guess that was the best time for them to be able to do both games.

It will be taped and shown next week on Time Warner channel 18, so the people attending the game can still see it. Also, the production company that is doing the game, Sheffield Productions, has been doing Sabine Pass homecoming for a few years now and makes DVD's for this game to distibute out in the Sabine Pass community. Next time True Blue, ask a little bit about the subject before being criticle of it. ;) ::)
