6.
If there is someone we don't know about we should cancel the Silsbee/HF pick'em!!!
Actually Bobcat, I think I am going to change my pick now. After getting some more info, I believe Silsbee will cover now.
 7. Final Silsbee  9th    42 HF  9th          36
 8. According to the "inside" report that I got, HJ will win this one handily. ;)
 9.
Silsbee covers with ease, trying to get the starters some good minutes right before the big match up with HJ.
Poppa, I will have to disagree with you because of the "insider" news I have regarding this game. ;)
 10. A win by the Lady Tigers would set up a possible rematch with Hardin-Jefferson in the quarterfinal round. Silsbee gets the luxury of getting an Area round bye if they win their bi-district game.
 11.
Should win the WRS award. No disrespect to the other offensive finalists. They are all good athletes.
and did win it!! ;)

 13. Johnson, Hale win Smith Awards Cody Pastorella The Orange Leader BEAUMONT — Beaumont Central’s linebacker Jacoby Hale and Silsbee quarterback Jeremy Johnson respectfully won the defensive and offensive Willie Ray Smith Awards at the Elegante Hotel on Thursday night, the 18th year for the event that honors the top high school football player from Southeast Texas. Voters simply saw it like coaches and recruiters from the University of Utah and West Virginia University, which will be the future homes for the senior award winners. Hale, who helped the Jaguars to the fourth round of the Class 4A playoffs in 2008 and the third round in 2009, finished out his final season at Central with 130 tackles including 15 for negative yards. He also had seven pass breakups and forced four fumbles, returning two for touchdowns. For such efforts, Hale earned a scholarship to Utah, a Texas all-state selection, was named District 20-4A’s defensive-player-of-the-year, and ultimately became the first Jaguar to win either the offensive or defensive Willie Ray Smith Award. Meanwhile, Johnson, who will be a Mountaineer this fall, took home the offensive award for his outstanding season in which he led Silsbee to a District 21-3A championship and to a second straight playoff appearance. Johnson threw for 2,291 yards and rushed for 850 more on 173 carries. The elusive right-armed general compiled 19 touchdowns through the air and chalked up 15 more on the ground. He totaled 3,141 total yards with a combined 34 TD's. He becomes the third Silsbee Tiger to win either award and the second to claim the offensive award. In 1994, Silsbee running back Jay McGuire won the offensive award and 10 years later, William Morrissey of Silsbee was given the defensive honor. The other offensive finalists for the 2010 offensive award were Port Neches-Groves senior running back Caleb Harmon, Kirbyville junior running back LeFredrick Ford, and West Brook junior quarterback Bruce Reyes. The other defensive finalists included PN-G senior defensive back Dre Dunbar, Kirbyville senior linebacker JaMichael Ervine, Lumberton senior linebacker Anthony Beard, and West Brook junior linebacker Collin Garrett. 15. The experts (including me  ;D) saw it that JJ was the best player in the area, regardless of what grade he was in. ;)
 16. Since Coop deleted my post, I'll bring it back. Coop is the ultimate bandwaggoner. LCM grad, but pulls for WOS. Miss. St. grad, but pulls for tu.
 17.

I disagree. If Ford is a senior, JJ still wins the award.
I like you AAW, but we just gonna have to disagree on that one big guy. ;)
I don't have a problem with us disagreeing as long as you understand that I am right. ;)
 18. I disagree. If Ford is a senior, JJ still wins the award.
 19. The Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns will venture up to Tiger land to take on the #5 state ranked Silsbee Tigers in a 21-3A clash tonight which will be Senior Night for the Tigers. The Longhorns (6-21, 0-8) are looking to break a current 10 game losing streak after taking one on the chin by Hardin-Jefferson Tuesday night. Silsbee (25-2, 8-0), ranked #1 in this week's HoopInsider poll, is coming off a solid win over Orangefield, 67-49, and ran their current win streak to 17. It's obvious that these two teams are headed in opposite directions. Silsbee defeated HF in the first half of district, 88-40 @ HF.
