Weathers is averaging 24 points a game, Carroll is averaging 21.4 points a game. Mexia returns their starting post player Green and PG Strain. Weathers made all state 1st team last year and all state tourney. They did lose their other guard who averaged about 11 points a game last year. Mexia should be just as good if not better this year from last.

[/quote] Yes, Silsbee did thump them pretty hard, won by 48, 76-28. After watching Jasper get "thumped", this comes as a complete surprise to me with them beating Hudson. It could be 1 of 2 things. Jasper could be getting better or Hudson wasn't as good as I thought they were.

I certainly didn't have this game as a blowout for Ozen. LCM is good, but their guard play has to improve if they are going to make the playoffs.

Here's the scoop: Silsbee and Evadale (Williams & Williams) got together in the summer and scheduled this game. Evadale approached Silsbee about scheduling the game and Silsbee said yes. Travis and Laurence are good friends and wanted this game. HJ called Evadale looking for a game this week because HJ had no game for this week after a team dropped them from their schedule. Evadale was off Friday night so Laurence agreed to play HJ. Pretty simple if you ask me.

Wish this game was Friday night instead of tonight. I would be broadcasting this one. I got EC at home, 67-64.

I don't see where anyone is hammering Evadale for playing HJ and Silsbee. The person who started this thread is hammering HJ and Silsbee for playing Evadale. I was told that Flower Mound Marcus turned HJ down and Yates turned Silsbee down, therefore Evadale stepped in. ;)
