I think the biggest point that folks are missing here is that Nederland wanted to play this game because it gave them the opportunity to play an extra game. Not playing the seed game keeps Nederland from playing this weekend because they have played their limit of 21 regular season games. They are not allowed to play a warm up game. IMO, that is the biggest reason why Coach English wanted to play the seed game.
