  1. Was this a controlled or game type? Either way, this is not the BC team I was expecting this season. I am sorry, but Shepherd is not very good.
  2. Diboll really didn't show me much against Hardin-Jefferson in their scrimmage.
  3. That's right football fans. Our weekly preview show will go on the road this season as we will be broadcasting our show at Hamburger Depot in Beaumont!!! Join Gabe Pruett and myself, Mike Sanchez, as we breakdown our area's teams and that weeks games. We plan to have coaches join us this season and you can come take part as well. If you cannot make it down to Hamburger Depot, then listen here and if you have a question or comment, then you can post it on the preview show thread that will be available. Our first show will be this Monday night, Aug. 24, starting at 6:30pm. This first show will go to 8pm. The rest of the season will be from 6:30 to around 7:45pm, every Monday night. The show could extend longer depending upon our guest's schedules and our audience participation. Again, SETXsports.com Weekly High School Football Preview Show hosted and sponsored by Hamburger Depot, Monday night's at 6:30 pm, right here at SETXsports.com!!!!!
  4. With Ryker doing his pick'em contest, he could post the percentages of who has picked who in the weekly pick'em contest. I just don't know if he wants to do that. He has enough to keep up with.
  5. You can say what you want about the yards per carry. It was so much better than last year. They could have gotten outscored and I still would have been very impressed with them. Rome wasn't built in a day just as LCM's football program won't be rebuilt in a season. Let's all be proud of the steps that are being taken in the right direction. The kids demeanor on the sidelines is so much better and it all starts with your attitude. They believe they can play and that's a start. Again Congrats to all the boys putting in the work and to Coach. Trust in what you are being told and you will continue to get better. I could not agree with you more, td. Good post!
  6. Hey Ryker, the Barbers Hill soph/High Island game is on Thursday night.

  8. Yes, I agree. Silsbee was able to get some tackles for loss. Also, LCM never broke any long runs, their longest run from scrimmage was 16 yards. Also their longest pass play was 26 yards.
  9. I went back over each play and saw that it was 101 yards, not 91. I have corrected it. Sorry about the mistake.
  10. I must have missed that. I did have to make a quick run downstairs. ;D
  11. Now c'mon Bleed, don't pull that woulda, coulda, shoulda thing with me.
  12. Hmmmmm.... Silsbee defeated Ozen 3-0 yesterday. Very interesting...... ;D Maybe Silsbee is peaking to soon and my bobcats will get better as the season goes on. Don't count your chickens too soon there AAW. But Bleed, that is what is so exciting and interesting. Silsbee is pacing themselves right now. ;D
  13. I was suprisingly impressed with LCM. The biggest change I saw tonight was the attitude of the team. It is 180 degrees from the last few years. That's a big start for this team. Like Chad said, LCM has them a coach now. Randy will make a difference for the Bears. LCM has some good numbers with some good size and a little speed to boot. They may suprise some folks this season but definetly the Bears are headed in the right direction. Silsbee needs improvement on the defensive side. The youth on the line and in the secondary showed tonight. Also, Silsbee had a very poor tackleing game. Too many missed or broken tackles. The Tigers have to step it up on the defensive side or the offense will really have to score alot of points to combat that weakness. Silsbee's offense is concentrating on working on the passing game. They ran the ball very well early in the scrimmage but kind of went away from it to work on the passing game. Jeremy wasn't too sharp tonight, over threw a few open recievers. I believe that when these games start counting, the Tiger offense will come together more, starting with running the ball a bit more. Glad all this is over, now let's get the real stuff going. Week 0, here we come!!!
  14. Hmmmmm.... Silsbee defeated Ozen 3-0 yesterday. Very interesting...... ;D
  15. Of those 33 carries, I would say it was spread pretty evenly over 5 backs. LCM 2nd team offense ran the last 12 running plays and 2 of those backs split those carries.
  16. who is geting most of the carries? For who, Silsbee or LCM? sorry, lcm? Don't know, did not have a roster for LCM.
  17. Did it all from the comfy confines of the pressbox. Enjoyed the AC!
  18. Final stats for this scrimmage: Silsbee rushing 17 carries 83 yards 1TD passing 15-28 205 yards 2 TD's 2 int's total 45 plays for 288 yards first downs 12 LCM rushing 33 carries 101 yards 3 TD's passing 15-24 185 yards 1 TD total 57 plays for 286 yards first downs 18
  19. Final Silsbee 21 LCM 35 LCM looks pretty good. Silsbee has some defensive issues to solve.
