I think you may be on to something here, Nash. ;) But, I am all for talking about other local basketball teams. I love it all!!
 3.

I dont think too many Tiger or Hawk fans need to reply.
Personally, I am looking forward to the matchups Silsbee will have in the three tourneys they play in. (YMBL, Nederland and Sherman tourneys). Silsbee vs. HJ..... eh, been there, done that. ::) Besides, Silsbee has won 7 of the last 9 games against HJ, starting to get too one-sided to get excited about that matchup. ;) ;D
I was going to leave it alone until this comment and he sucked me in, too lopsided my butt....every matchup is highly contested and one of the best games of the year always.....Kountze and HJ have had some great match ups as well as Kountze and EC....and I'm sure there are many more like HJ and Nederland have been highly competitive as of late.....I want basketball to start tomorrow dang it...
You know that I said that just to get a rise out some HJ fans, including you. ;D I did follow my "factual" statement with a " ;) ;D"
 4.
Ya trying to decide if I want to go to Big Bend and watch etbu and Sul Ross or stay here for this? Hmm Ya yall had a good team when JJ was there but LUCKY they  beat Huffman that game and with one first down yall would have been toast. We had three different chances to put that game away and DID NOT. CHOKEd on our part and had a kid that played DE for Huffman. That team had the best defense EVER in my opinion and should have gone futher than one game deep.
JJ senior year Silsbee beat Huffman 56-28. Year before was a 21-16 Silsbee win.
 5.

Well, 21-3A's #3 team beat 22-3A's #3 team 42-14. ;) One might say that 22-3A has the best two teams (CS and Huff, still debatable) but 21-3A was the better, deeper district based on a few head to head match ups. 21-3A was 4-3 vs. 22-3A this year. 21-3A BC    1-0      beat Shepherd  61-3                      Cleveland  0-1      lost to Silsbee 42-14 HF    1-1      beat Splendora  52-6                    Coldspring  1-0      beat Orangefield  50-0                   lost to Huffman  41-10                  Huffman    2-0      beat HJ  35-0 HJ    1-1      beat Splendora  21-14                                            beat HF  41-10                   lost to Huffman  35-0                    Shepherd    0-1      lost to BC  61-3 OF    0-1      lost to Coldspring  50-0                Splendora  0-2      lost to HF  52-6 SIL  1-0      beat Cleveland  42-14                                              lost to HJ  21-14 WOS did not play a 22-3A team Tarkington did not play a 21-3A team Only 2 22-3A teams had wins over 21-3A (CS and Huff) 4 21-3A teams had wins over 22-3A teams. I think it is safe to say that WOS would beat most all of 22-3A, but Tarkington would not beat any 21-3A team. Like I said, 22-3A has CS and Huff, after that, basically nothing.
I would agree with that. The fact is Niether of these two districts are anywhere near the toughest in the state, they both have good teams and they both have really bad teams. If I were to break them down I would put them like this. Great - Coldspring they are far and away the best 3a team in the area. Good BC, Huffman, Silsbee, and Wos all these teams are pretty close Decent - Liberty, Cleveland, and maybe orangefield Bad Shepherd, HF, HJ, Splendora Terrible - Tarkington seriously I feel bad for these kids. They haven't been to the playoffs since 54 and struggle to win even one game every year. I have never understood why they are so bad, you would figure sometime in the last 50 years they would've had some talent. Bottom line is both these districts are pretty close I belive that coldspring and Huffman are the two beat teams that is jmo, we will find out this weekend.
Actually, I would put Hamshire-Fannett in the decent category. They did beat Splendora and HJ badly, 52-6 and 60-6.
 6.
will anyone be broadcasting Nederland game,I'm in central Texas every friday night I'm at my computer listening to the game, so I guess I could get any radio station that might broadcast the game. I hope so
No local radio station will be carrying this game. The visiting team will not have a broadcast as well.
 7. Let's get those questions and comments posted. 1 1/2 hour till show time!!
 8. 9.
Just receieved these stats for Justin Twine 214 carries for 2478 yds, 34 rushing TDs.  He passed for another 819 yds with 16 TD passes.  Then he scored another 3 on returns. What a season!
I know who the SETXsports.com sophomore of the year will be. ;)

 11. I do know that Nederland will not be on the radio Friday night. KLVI will be doing the Lamar basketball game instead.
 12. Hmmm... who said Silsbee has dominated this series over the last 6 years? Now, if we talk all time, that might be a different story. ;)
 13.
Who starts this week?
I have a feeling that if Bevil is healthy, he will get the start. Woodard was asked in the SLC phone presser today, but said he would not comment on depth chart situations.
