Duncanville HC Samples is suspended for 1 game this coming season and program is on probation for one year because they violated UIL rules in the use of a volunteer coach. You cannot have a person on staff giving instruction without being an employee of the school district. Samples owned up to it and they will not be appealing.

I have learned that the Texas City/Santa Fe game was called due to a huge bench clearing brawl in the game. No word yet on what actions will be taken and if both teams will have to forfeit. I do not know what the score was when the game was called. If it ends up a double forfeit then TC will be back tied with Crosby for 1st in 22-5A.

He is certainly up there. Darryl "Boogaloo" McArthur was a pretty special player too. McDonald's AA and he played in the era of no three point line. Averaged 29 points his senior season and it was his career points total record whom Bush broke. Had there been a 3 line, Boog would have definitely scored more. McArthur was unstoppable at times, just like Bush has been.

I stand corrected. The rule is 21 games and 3 tourneys. Just about everyone can play a warm up game with that rule change.
