In no particular order, Ozen, Lumberton and PA-M, in my opinion will get the top 3 spots. The Lady Jaguars will get the 4th seed but it won't be easy. I have only seen them play one time this year but I will check them out next week against Summer Creek with about 9 games under their belts. Hopefully after that evaluation I'll be coming back on here saying they should be able to compete for the #2 spot.

I'm still holding out hope that it doesn't happen at all but the AD and the school board are in a tight spot...

Panthers won't be used because that's Ozen's current mascot. I like the colors though, that Raiders look. But I was told they were going to take the maroon from Central and the gold from Ozen, similar to Humble Summer Creek... And no to the Memorial too.

I'm not worried about the football teams merging, I don't think that will be an issue. A lot of these kids already know each other. Coaches on both staffs already know each other. Like Soulja said, it's other things that worry me...

I wonder how many times PN-G's basketball team will score 72 points in a game this year?

Especially "if" Central and Ozen merge, removing them from the local 5A district.

Just like anything else, it has it's pros and cons. I just hate that "the decision makers" will wait to the last minute to make the decision...

Permanent, no going back if it happens. Final decision due by January 3rd. I would love to have to eat crow on this but how bad they claim Central to be on the inside, I expect the merger to happen.

There are no moral victories but it helps a little I guess seeing 2 teams Central lost to and another one we just edged out moving on to the 2nd round. I actually see 2 of the 3 moving on to at least round 3. Guess we know which district was the best this year. Congratulations Titans, Bulldogs and Indians.

For those of you not Facebook friends with me, I'll give you the short version. Merger of Central and Ozen coming soon. BISD has until January 3rd to submit to UIL wether the 2 schools will stay separate or merge for 2018-2019 so the UIL can start finalizing their districts for realignment that comes out in February. With Central's 1309 and Ozen's 1151, 2460 will mean two 6A schools in Beaumont...
