1.
ASA Rule changes for 2010.... *Once a player participates in an intercollegiate softball program for a university, college, or junior/community college, she is ineligible to play in the Junior Olympic Gold Program. NO MORE COLLEGE PLAYERS IN GOLD, THINK IT DOES ALLOW THEM TO PLAY 18U, BUT NOT 18U B *ASA Gold 18-Under Fast Pitch. This National Championship Final shall be scheduled to conclude on the first Saturday in August and not be scheduled more than seven (7) days. This event will not have an opening ceremonies event and the managers meeting cannot be scheduled prior to 6:00 PM on the prior Sunday. OF LOCAL INTEREST, THE CURRENT DATES OVERLAP THE IFA NATIONALS *The Junior Olympic Girls 18 and Under Gold Fast Pitch will be rotated to Oklahoma City every third year and in the off years will be placed in other parts of the country by the Executive Director. *16U and 18U/Gold can now wear metal cleats. I think all these changes addressed the complaints that lead to the founding of the "Premier Tournament".
As I have stated before I would have preferred for them to limit the amount of college players on a team rather than exclude them completely. As it stands right now, there is no place for them to play unless you live in the northeast.
2. I hear they have started to rank vaccuum cleaners on the oklahoma suckage scale. 1-10 oklahoma suckage because well you know Oklahoma Sucks!
3. You're Right if there is anything that is timeless it is the fact that Oklahoma Sucks!!
4. Whatever they're talking about can't compare to how much Oklahoma Sucks!
5. Well I hope the one in Beaumont continues to grow. I know Ronnie and Nara work hard but what needs to happen is for all of the teams in this area to commit to it and get a few teams from Houston over here as well. You can do everything right and talk to the coaches until your blue in the face, but if they don't feel they have someone to come and watch it won't matter. So instead of throwing darts at this one, everyone in the area needs to do everything they can to make it a success, because in the end your kids will be the ones to benefit if this tournament succeeds.

Ok he is not available then who? PLEASE DONT SAY BARRY BONDS I am not going to contribute to his drug problem!
See Coaches offering lessons above.

I personally think Charlie Kerfield had a great swing for a big man. Sorry, no stats, although I think he only batted twice. Google that for me Mc. 8. I agree Robert. Every time someone says steroids don't help hand eye coordination it ignores the obvious. At 500 AB's a season every hit is worth 2 points on your average. If steroids help you get to 5 fastballs you normally wouldn't get to that's 10 points added to you average. If it let's you hit 5 balls to your pull side verses weak pop-ups are grounders to the opposite that's 10 points to your average. If it helps you drive 5 balls out of the park that normally wouldn't have went out thats 10 points to your average. If Bonds hit 20 more homers than he would have without the juice that means his average was approx 40 points higher. The point is we will never know how much it helped him but we do know that it helped. Ben Johnson used steroids to help him win a 100M race in the Olympics and once busted and off the juice, he was mediocre at best. So steroids do help with explosions which is exactly what the swing is, to say otherwise is disingenuous.

Ted Williams was the best player ever and oh yeah, his swing was pretty good too. I don't belive steroids were in use then either.
10. Tell him to post it on the coaches offering lessons thread and I will add his info.

12. Back to your original question, there are a list of coaches above in the thread titled Lessons. Lauren should be back in town for Christmas, Holly probably available and Jeremy is always available.
13. I personally like rotational...............................................on a linear line. ;D ;D ;D
14. I too think ASA will make some changes, and really only a couple of changes need to be made. 1. Add another level of qualifiers so that you actually have to qualify to enter a qualifier. 2. Make the National more college coach friendly. 3. Rotate location East West Central. 4. Ban college players witha year of eligibility(even though I din't agree with this one, I think limit is a better option.)
15. Some of the "big boys" will be going to the Premier Tournament in Huntington Beach so will probably not be attending. Good thing? Bad thing? IDK Probably right on the Nationals, but I wonder how many teams will play in the qualifiers and skip Gold Nationals if they get the Golden Invite?
16. It's Monday morning and I wanted to remind everyone that Oklahoma Still Sucks!!
17. I was talking about your restraint. ;D I remember your old signature. lol
