It's not what you can do for the athlete, it's what you can do for the coaches.

If a college coach(recruiter) sends a letter to a school and the high school coach doesn't give it to that kid, it speaks volumes about the integrity of that coach.  

Thank you WOS.     My two cents,  living with a coach... Does me no good to second guess him,   Lol.    And in this day and age of Internet, social media etc.  You should not be waiting on a coach to give you a letter from a school.   If you want to play college ball, contact the school you are interested in.  Send film, send letters yourself.  Go,for a unofficial visit, go to camps.  If a school has not found you on social media, command met you themselves.  You need to put in some work contacting them,  Don't wait on them.  There are other schools besides a D1 out there.  D2, D3,  Juco, NAIA.    

Oh, you would be surprised. Yes, all coaches want to win. But, most coaches want to win their way. I have seen way too many coaches lose because they are too bull headed to change or evolve or even consider that another offense or defense might be better suited to the kids they have.

That's hilarious PIg you're right but If you desire to be a H.S. coach enhance lives, never dIstroy dreams or futures. I myself traIn and develop youth and choose not to grInd out a H.S. coaches weekly rituals. Call me an armchair QB or sideline critic but criticism Is part of the game and I say to those wIth that coveted degree who chose coaching, If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen. All Lives Matter!

Get you a 4 year degree from an accredited university and you can see to it that nothing(games or players) are mismanaged. I'd be willing to bet there is an accredited university within driving distance of your residence. Come up with the cash to pay for tuition, study your butt off, and you can be a coach in 4-5 years...nothing to it!

I know this all so very well as my stepson Chopper only touched the ball 4 or 5 tImes a game and my boys now are talented and don't touch the ball on offense and are under used. Maybe I am the one they don't care for but my kIds work hard year In and year out and others just show up and get all kInds of opportunities. These coaches are makIng It real easy for them to just concetrate on baseball for next season I tell you. I'm so glad God has a plan for theIr lIves. I don't care who knows thIs but the truth Is the truth.

Yes they really did. I had the pleasure of coaching him In LIttle League and saw his ability then. I also say he will play on Sundays. Coaches come and go but never realize that some of us just may know their skills a little better. Good luck Rodney  Randle.

Those Indians better not be looking past those Panthers at the Jaguars because of their 1-3 district record.  If Boyd would have started last week, it would have been a lot tighter game...

Thanks to All of you well wishers, I will certainly tell Mr. Randle his efforts didn't go unnoticed. It's great when not only Ozen fans appreciate the effort, but opposing teams as well. Rodney keeps in touch with the players & holds no grudges. He was taught to be a Team player & do your job. It was frustrating at times, but rewarding because of Life's lessons that he had to endure & his faith in God helped pull him through.  I know he would really Love for the focus to remain on his former Teammates and their Goals they set for the season. Again, thanks to All of you.

Between Chopper and Mr. Randle we are talking mega Mis - coaching . I can't even imagine the difference if they played for LN a Nederville . Randle was one of our favs @ Ozen and has already proven the point @ Lamar . Like our Krautz , exciting player and hopefully teammates ! 

Not so, only question was why would you send a 160 lbs world class track star up the middle of a defense. He was a scat back wIth 10.12/100m speed and had 48 touhes the year. I'm not going to worry about all thIs stuff just ventIng. God has the final say.

Hey, I refuse to lay off.  It's just sad, and a shame to the people involved.  That kid waited and waited his time.  and when his time came, he was still screwed.  If I'm not mistaken, I'd say politics were involved, which is sad because if the better player was just allowed to play ball like he should have, I'm sure Ozen would have had more wins under their belt the last couple of years.  So, I'll continue to make mention of his accolades as they occur...

It really made a difference. Vidor W is a solid team and there #1 had a monster game against BMW. Our coach sent BMW best player straight to the ball and Vidor W ran the opening kickoff back. BMW best Wr/CB wasn't their at this game and is a kid who can cover #1who clearly was the game changer that game.  Nederland W is good but I don't know if #2 will be able to carry his team as effectively as he has done in regular season. I watched them against Beaumont G and the game was exciting. Beaumont G has a good team with speed. Which ever team most prepared on any given day can get a win. My pick is BMW they have played some tough games and won without there QB and he is back and healthy. Enjoying the ride, it's all about our youth. Good luck to all!
