No team is losing more on the line (in terms of seniors than Coldspring)....They're replacing the entire line due to graduation....If (and of course it's anyone's guess until they get thrown into the fire on the varsity level) the new line can hold it's own the offense should continue to score a bunch of points...
CHS fans and alumni will find out pretty quickly how good this years "O-Line" really was. Barbay will get'em ready, but they won't be nearly as good as this past seasons team. -

Interesting, yet not a surprise considering the $$$ in that area. -

But all I find is info stating he has changed his verbal commitment; nothing indicates he has signed his letter of intent, yet...
No one can sign until singing day which is in February. Until then nothing is a done deal, and any player can change their verbal comment as many times as they want.
And as late as they want to....until they sign that letter verbal commitments mean nothing.
Thank you sir, exactly my point. I meant nothing derogatory regarding Matthew's character. I just know he has not personally made it official.
Wow, Thanks guys, I really appreciate all this info. I dont know anything about this area so im kinda in the dark here.I just stumbled on this site trying to research the area for football and travel baseball, Im glad I did! You cant afford to miss out on that 8th grade,12u/13u year of development in either sport. I will be in Texas on the 24th and will definately check these schools out. Montgomery sounds like the type of school and area that we are leaving so sounds like a good fit on the surface. (hows the hunting and fishing around there? LOL ) That might be a question for a different web site :-), We love our football in Georgia, but have heard great things about Texas Football and are looking forward to the experience. ;D
The Woodlands & Montgomery would be great choices. Despite school size, I say small fish big pond philosophy works quite well. The fishing is great too(Lakes Conroe & Livingston).

I read the tech blog too, but so far Wilson hasn't made any formal announcement and behind "closed doors"' he acknowledges he is still looking. After his switch from UofH, I wouldn't call this one until the ink dries...kids will be kids ;)

I don't think anyone who knows much about football projects Gilbert to play in anyone's backfield at the next level....He'll be a receiver or DB...There are tons of really good highschool backs who end up playing a different position in college...It takes a really special skill set to play the RB position at the next level...BTW, I don't think he really enjoys playing RB now, however, that's what he's being asked to due to his outstanding speed and he's doing the best he can to help his team.... On a side note, I don't know why you say you are a Coldspring fan and/or root for them and then get on a forum like this and make fun of a kid who is doing their best...If your fondest memory of a Coldspring player was something other than them experiencing success you've got some issues as a fan... For example, I am a fan of Coldspring and I took no joy or carry any fond memory of any Coldspring player coming up short of fulfilling one of their life long dreams....How you can do so while claiming to be a fan is beyond me...
your first paragraph is essentially the same thing I said. Unless you enjoy getting in the last word I don't understand your point.... I'm a fan of Coldspring, just like I'm a fan of the Cowboys...Now ,tell me you ain't never heard anyone "dissing" the Cowboys? We're entitled to express our disappointments in whichever way we choose. I never specifically "dissed" Coldspring. I, just don't understand the hype surrounding the Gilbert kid, especially after his performance in that game.

Best Running Back in Texas, if not Nationally

Jonathan Gray's game did get kinda crazy (yards & scoring). IMO Brown had more of a challenge in his game versus all those large monsters on the Denton defense + he wasn't 100%. Both are very special backs! -

It is usual custom that when a player receives one of the "superlative" awards, that they are not listed in the position. Of all of the ones I saw, maybe 21-5A was the only exception.
Thats why...

Most accurate passer in 3A
If he was a little taller I think it would be a no brainer, but he is 5'10 and that could be a problem for bigger schools. One of the best passers I have seen at the high school level. There were some throws he made and our d-backs had really good coverage on them. I was really impressed with him. I was not so impressed with the crazy hair cut or tatoo's he had. I don't know if anyone saw that or not, many of the Carthage players had tatoo's. I don't know if they were real or fake. I just kinda thought it was weird for a bunch of high school kids to have tats.
as for the tats if the parents approve they can bring them to the parlor. ;) Legal. As far as haircuts---theyre kids and its state, i would have done the same thing. I agree his height will cause a prob but Brees is doing good for himself these days ;D
I think he was trying to imply they are distasteful (tatoos), but hey who cares??? Its football and it was the finals...let'em play and have fun! Morgan, should get some looks for sure, regardless if its for a QB position or not. He has the previous experience at DB and will understand QB process to benefit in the secondary (IMO).
Say trigger i was at the game & I seen like 3 times number 80 tryed to tackle sherman Gilbert & they didn't even take him down & I would like to really knw who you are cause I told u about putting your mouth on Gilbert how bout me & you go head up & you make me go limp are how about you go head up with Gilbert & see's who's still standing!! And the Dawgs "D" didn't shut Gilbert down number 80 didn't impress me at all!!!
WTF (grammar)??? Dude, I don't know what game you saw, but Carthage's Defense took Gilbert out of his game the entire 2nd half. Cummings is the better back (with balls). Face it, they were a much better team.
