All Major FBS Schedules and Predictions
eagleswoodville#1 replied to eagleswoodville#1's topic in College Sports Forum
Blow U is up and down. You never know which team you're gonna get: the team that bullied a very good Alabama squad or the team that blew it against a young Texas team in the Red River Rivalry. If OU plays like they did against Texas last year they won't even last a half in the game against Baylor. -
Lol in that case he might as well "keep Austin weird" right??

Except a QB, right? Lol

If you look at Baylors schedule, who exactly are the two losses to?? Maybe Oklahoma or Texas. And maybe even Oklahoma State. -

It's very simple. I don't think he's as good as these five guys. He's a very good running back. But this class is deep. Someone has to get left off that's very talented.

This is using the draft order of the 2014 draft to avoid debates on what team will end up where in the order. 1. Houston Texans -- Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon 2. Washington Redskins -- Andrus Peat, OT, Stanford 3. Jacksonville Jaguars -- Randy Gregory, DE, Nebraska 4. Cleveland Browns -- Cedric Ogbuehi, OT, Texas A&M 5. Oakland Raiders -- Leonard Williams, DT, Southern Cal. 6. Atlanta Falcons -- Dante Fowler, DE, Florida 7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, CB, Oregon 8. Minnesota Vikings -- Landon Collins, S, Alabama 9. Cleveland Browns (from BUF) -- Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama 10. Detroit Lions -- Shilique Calhoun, DE, Michigan State 11. Tennessee Titans - Vic Beasley, OLB, Clemson 12. New York Giants -- Brandon Scherff, OT, Iowa 13. St. Louis Rams -- Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State 14. Chicago Bears -- Devonte Fields, DE, TCU 15. Pittsburgh Steelers -- P.J. Williams, CB, Florida State 16. Dallas Cowboys -- Josh Shaw, DB, Southern Cal. 17. Baltimore Ravens -- Cameron Erving, OT, Florida State 18. 1. Todd Gurley, Georgia 2. TJ Yeldon, Alabama 3. Malcolm Brown, Texas 4. Duke Johnson, Miami 5. Mike Davis, South Carolina I don't see how you veer off much from the top two. Both will be in the Heisman conversation if they stay healthy and their team does well.

Lebron James to the Houston Rockets?!
eagleswoodville#1 replied to king's topic in Professional Sports- NFL, NBA, MLB, Etc
For sure lol he is LeBron. And when you're the best basketball player in the world and possibly one of the best ever, you can do that. -
Lebron James to the Houston Rockets?!
eagleswoodville#1 replied to king's topic in Professional Sports- NFL, NBA, MLB, Etc
And it may not even be the number he's looking at. He may want a more guaranteed contract. If he signs an extension now, he is guaranteed a lot more money over the next 2-3 years than if he stays on for one year and has to try to restructure his contract or sign with another team. Excersizing his ETO gives him all the leverage in the situation. -
Lebron James to the Houston Rockets?!
eagleswoodville#1 replied to king's topic in Professional Sports- NFL, NBA, MLB, Etc
Come on guys. If you know anything about his contract situation, you know that this is a win-win for LeBron and clearly his best option. Either he goes to Houston, Dallas, LA Clippers, NY, or Chicago and and wins more than he will in the coming years in Miami OR he stays in Miami and signs a max deal at 6yrs/$20mil per year. I think if you see Bosh terminate his contract by option, you'll see both of them leave Miami. LeBron won't stay anywhere he doesn't think he can win. IF he leaves Miami, I think Dallas or Houston are your more obvious choices. Reason being: 1. If he leaves the Heat, the max contract he could sign is a 5yr/$16mil per year deal. If he goes anywhere, he's going to want to make the most money possible out of the deal. Texas is the only other NBA state without a state income tax besides Florida. This is what makes LA a hard place for him to play, because their state income tax is over 10%. 2. If he leaves, it will be to win. The Rockets can unload enough cap space by trading Asik and Lin, then dealing Canaan, Troy Smith, and Motijunes away for cap space. That leaves the projected starting line-up (with LBJ) looking like this: C: Dwight Howard PF: LeBron James SF: Chandler Parsons SG: James Harden PG: Patrick Beverly You now have the most physically dominant center in the NBA, along with the top-rated shooting guard in the game (granted Kobe was hurt), one of the most exciting young players in Parsons, one of the best on-ball defenders in the NBA, AND the best basketball player on the planet in your starting five. All of who have the talent to be all-stars. The "big three" would be D12/LBJ/The Bearded One. Which is younger and arguably better than Bosh/Wade/LBJ back in 2010. They go from an already above-average team to favorites for the title virtually over night if they can square LeBron. -
Houston Regional (hosted by Rice)

Lol classic Texas/Texas A&M 😂😂 I think this proves that two good football seasons and a decent football player don't change much in the grand scheme of things when it comes to this rivalry. HOOK EM'!!! -
Have you seen any film on Savage? Lol guy has exactly the same skills set that another guy named Tom had coming out of college. Oh and btw, that guy has won a few Super Bowl rings under the same guy Savage will be under. Lol

NFL draft, why???
eagleswoodville#1 replied to Ty Cobb's topic in Professional Sports- NFL, NBA, MLB, Etc
Michael Sam was the SEC Defensive Player of the Year?? Lol he actually has the skills set to be drafted in the late 4th/early 5th. But slid because he was gay lol Sounds like someone needs to broaden his spectrum, huh? Lol stop being so judgemental and let the man be who he is. Gay, straight, black, white, tall, short, dumb, smart. Does it really matter? What effect does it have on you? Lol And nooooo. Jackie Robinson was called up to make a statement. He could play, don't get me wrong. But there were a lot of other negros that were just as good if not better than him who didn't get a shot. -
The only choice he has on the matter is to retire or ask for a trade that Houston will not make. I doubt he will retire. And a future HOF receiver for a decent back-up QB? Seriously? Lol Oh and FYI. Johnson has not said a word about "wanting out of Houston". Just that he was frustrated and questioning his placement there. Rightfully so. But this is a team with the same core players that won back-to-back division crowns in 2011 and 2012. And won two playoff games. They did go 2-14 last year but I believe that stemmed from a lack of discipline and respect for Kubiaks system. Which was on Kubiak. So they got rid of him and brought in a guy who demands respect at every level. Andre will be just fine. He's frustrated and needs some time to think. At the end of the day, he will be in Houston.

Myles Turner to Texas!

US-Russian Tensions Escalate Amid Ukraine Crisis
eagleswoodville#1 replied to PN-G bamatex's topic in Political Forum
Russia is the biggest threat the US has from a militaristic standpoint. It's not about having the "stomach" to go to war. It's about thinking about MILLIONS of lives that will be lost if we go to war with Russia and the potential of a Third World War. Russia is trying to provoke us and we are taking all the right steps right now. -
Manziel? Bridgewater? Bortles? Clowney? Or maybe someone unexpected like Sammy Watkins or Derek Carr? My personal thoughts are Bortles. He has the size at 6'5" and 235lbs to take shots in the NFL and the athleticism to run the ball when needed. He has a cannon for an arm and is the most accurate of the three top QB candidates. While a Clowney/JJ Watt pairing is tempting, I think Bortles has the potential to be a superstar in the NFL with the right coaching an talent around him.

Schools who have never won state in SETX
eagleswoodville#1 replied to BADSANTA's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
The most accomplished football program in SETX without winning a state title is Jasper, hands down.
True. There isn't much arguing with that statement. Kirbyville has a had a few good ones. But they've also had alot of bad ones. Lol Jasper had stayed consistently good throughout their history for the most part. -
5-5 at worst. I'm thinking 6-4 is a good prediction for this year.

Deweyville/Kirbyville scrimmage

I thought the defense was going to be solid. I know nothing about the offense. Any info on them would be much appreciated
Kirbyville may be fine. Deweyville will not lose a regular season game this year. No shame in losing to this group.
Not so fast... we will see very soon about that. I say SA and HD beat them. Two 1A schools. ::) ;D
Not to mention the seventh-ranked Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs. You can't ever count them out.
