  1. I'm predicting Locksley and Mack to Texas, as well as Holton Hill, Kris Boyd, Soso Jamabo, and Chris Warren. Lodge will follow Murray to A&M. On another note....if Murray wins the starting job in CS....could we see Kyle Allen transfer to Texas? Interesting dynamics here all around.
  2. I hope he goes to the MLB now. At least then I won't feel as embarrassed rooting for him. Great kid and a great future ahead of him no matter what he does. I hate he didn't flip to Texas, but I'll root for him wherever he's at.
  3. Percentage of Texas landing top recruits IMO: Kyler Murray: 35% Daylon Mack: 75% Kai Locksley: 55% Kris Boyd: 75% DaMarkus Lodge: 45% DeAndre McNeal: 45% Soso Jamabo: 75% Chris Warren: 70%

  5. Joey McGuire, the head coach of the 2-time defending 5A (and 4A) division 2 state champion Cedar Hill HS, has been offered an assistant coach position at the University of Texas, per Bleacher Report.
  6. I'm not familiar with the freshmen this year outside of him, but we generally have some good young players in this area. But I think he is at least top 10.
  7. Christian Williams from Woodville has to be somewhere on this list.
  8. His mechanics have been off since he got injured the first time. It'll take alot more than a good offensive line to fix that.
  9. I agree with both of those statements. I just hope to God the Texans don't attempt to sign him.
  10. The third overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Robert Griffin III has been benched in favor of back-up Colt McCoy. McCoy, a Texas native and former QB for the University of Texas, has started in and won two ganes this year. The only Redskins QB to do so at all this year.
  11. Because what are they technically doing? Paying the players. Giving them $5,000 of free money to do whatever they want with and $5,000 to pay for the rest of their educational expenses. It's not exactly paying them a salary, but it is paying the players for the use of their likeness.
  12. It's not likely that the appeal is successful for UT.
  13. It is a result of legal proceedings. Essentially, Texas will end up laying about $6 million in total per year. Now, anyone who knows Texas athletics, knows this is simply an emptying of a single pocket to Texas's financial system.
  14. The $10,000 dollars will cover educational costs not covered by the original scharship and will also include a $5,000 compensation for the use of each athletes likeness.
  15. The University of Texas at Austin, according to multiple reports, will become the first university in the NCAA to pay it's student-athletes. They will be paid a $10,000 stipend each year. This covers all sports, male and female.

  17. It was very hard for me to not out Johnny U on the list. Ultimately I decided not because of the talent level difference. And Peyton, with the records he ready holds, is at least top 3 IMO. If he wins 2 more bowls and surpasses Brett Favre's all-time yards mark, he jumps to #1 easy.
  18. My list: 1. Joe Montana 2. Peyton Manning 3. Brett Favre 4. John Elway 5. Terry Bradshaw Soooo many other great ones though: Steve Young Jim Kelly Brett Favre Tom Brady Roger Staubach Troy Aikman Dan Marino Kurt Warner Warren Moon Fran Tarkenton Bart Starr Otto Graham Let me know your opinion on the subject!!
  19. Just give him three years. It will pay off. It just takes time.
  20. Strong won't disclose the specifics. But I'm sure it will leak out eventually.
  21. S Josh Turner and OLB Kendall Thompson both also dismissed due to violation of team rules. Sources say up to 5 more could be dismissed by end of the day.
  22. Both these players have maintained their innocence up to this point, as is expected. But no, Charlie Strong is just filtering out all the pissheads so he can build a program with discipline. This year will be a transformation year. Next year is when you'll see a lot of positive change.
  23. RB Jalen Overstreet, RB Joe Bergeron, and S Chevoski Collins were all dismissed from the team for unspecified violations of team rules. Overstreet and Collins are two local products from Tatum (Overstreet) and Livingston (Collins).
  24. Sources say there hasn't been any communication between Rox/Celtics for Rondo yet. But there has been talks with the TWolves about Love.
  25. Great deal for the Rockets. Half the price, same production. Looking for a sign and trade for Rondo or Love now.
