1. Would anybody think that the Giants had a shot at the SB this season with a 9-7 record??  Or that they would beat the Patriots??
 2.
I just did a quick look at some other states and noticed that Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska have 6 classifications and Arkansas has 7. Why are we squeezing more kids in 5 classifications?
Pretty much all of the 7A schools in Arkansas are clustered in one area, NW Arkansas.  There is a 7A east and west division I believe, with the east division around Little Rock.  LR is about 4 hours from NW Arkansas, and you can go all the way across the state in about 6 hours.  Not so much with Texas, 12 hours and you would barely make it.
 3.
WELL ONE THING IS FOR SURE NEDERLAND WILL LOSE ONE OUT OF THE NEXT TWO GAMES. INTELLECT HELL HOW HARD IS IT TO PUT A 9.39 INCH BALL IN A 18 INCH HOOP. MAYBE SOMEONE CAN REFRESH ME ON THE OZEN AND NEDERLAND SCORE WAS THAT A BLOW OUT. AND IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER HOW YOU DO IN DISTRICT ITS HOW YOU DO AFTER DISTRICT PLAY THAT SEPERATES THE REAL TEAMS.
Caps Lock!!!
 4. I'm guessing the Beaumont Bowl is still on also?

Got hosed again. I hate traveling to Livingston a couple times a year, so I can only imagine what those folks over there feel like having to do it every week! Just flat sux!
I would think they play the same amount of home games as everyone else.
Livingston has to travel more than all the other 20-4A teams put together. In the two year span, they have to make 7 trips to the Triangle in football, 14 in volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball. Whereas the other 20-4A schools only make 1 trip in football, 2 in the other four sports. Livingston gets hosed in this deal, not the other 20-4A schools.
I agree that they get hosed on travel.  I was just stuck on the "every week" statement by badndn.

 9. yeah they have been around 1100 the last few years.  I think Ned's have been in the 1460-1470 range by the way Grad.  I am going by the enrollment reports from the last few board meetings.
 10. One game at a time.  The next couple are the biggest of the season.

I thought you actually knew about history. Dont you know. We made the playoffs in 2009 and did the same thing yall did this year.  8)
True, but Vidor has been in the playoffs a total of 5 times in 71 years.
And that didn't really affect us much last year did it?
I wouldn't get too big-headed about it.  Vidor hasn't been to the playoffs two years in a row yet, and twice in 10 years.

 13. Yep. thats an awsome stadium. The building at the end of the stadium is an indoor practice field. I didn't get to make a game though.    Wal-mart makes some pretty big contributions in the area.  At least the Tigers are Black and Gold, so I didn't feel too out of place.  Although Fayetteville's mascot is the purple dogs.  That was weird.
That's what i was  hoping for but i see Jeff is sticking to his old ways. Going for a school that is about 6 hours away. Going for a local one and i'm sure he'll book a powerhouse 3A school for the third game (yes kville  was a power house the year he scheduled them). What i am looking forward to is to see what he's gonna do if he gets to play another non district game.
Sante Fe is 2 hours away, still a pretty good drive in a yellow dog.  They were pretty good a couple of years ago, but were 1-5 in district this year.  The only team they beat was G Ball.
 15. BH, Angleton or Dayton would also be good non-district for Vidor.  They need to get more exposure to Houston teams to get them ready for district and the playoffs.
 16. Santa Fe is a good non-district game, and BC is ok.  At least he is trying to get some more competitive games than they used to play a few years back.
 17. Just a little perspective on AR high school ball.  a 5A team in AR is probably equivilent to a 3A team here.  7A is thier biggest level,  and the majority of those schools are in the NW Arkansas area,  and most of those teams play each other at least a couple of times in district before meeting again in the playoffs.  Bentonville , Rodgers, Springdale, Fayetteville and Fort Smith are all within about 50 miles of each other and make up the majority of the teams, with the rest around Little Rock.  Bentonville and Rodgers are similar to Ned and PNG, right across the highway from each other.  Bentonville has one three state championships in the last few years.  The point being, I don't think this would fly in TX.  The football is much more competitive here.
 18. Back on topic.  the discussion is the Ned vs PNG game not coaching comparisons.
 19.
What facts? 9 State appearances, 3 titles, 17 district titles, 12 regional tourney appearances, .085 winning percentage....Men lie, women lie, NUMBERS DON'T... 8)
Only when they are incorrect.  1 State title, 3 Finals appearances, 7 State tourney appearances.  Oh by the way, how can they have 17 district titles when the school has existed for 12 years?
 20. We are way off topic.  Ned-Vidor Game!!
 21. Let's get back on topic here. DV,  I think there is something that you are not taking into consideration and that is that Ozens attendance level has fallen quite a bit since they opened and also transfers to the other Beaumont schools.  So if Boutte came back the talent pool would be smaller.  Not saying it would be less talented players, just a smaller pool to choose from.
 22. Yeah, I was thinking that the awards were in Feb.
