I think Central and Ozen battle it out for the last spot, or possibly for third/fourth spot. If Central improves their offensive schemes and utilize their talent to their potential, they will get the fourth spot.  Ozen will give them a tough fight. Vidor might or might not be a question mark for the playoffs depending on the first few games of district.  They were definitely playing with a lot of emotion after the passing of their teammate, and that carried them into the playoffs.  We will see if they can keep that momentum going, especially if Central improves.  I voted for them to make it. Ned and PNG should be in the playoffs unless something really wild happens.

Nah, we all know he's full of it.

And watched the Bulldogs continue in the playoffs while you sat at home.

I would like to see your proof that Ned covered anything up Dickie.  Unless you have proof,  don't drag other districts into this with unfounded accusations.

[/quote] Certainly.  I agree.  But you can't prevent or blame someone for wanting to better themselves, coach at the next level, be closer to family or return to where they were born and raised.  [/quote] No, I don't blame them at all.  I did the same thing when I moved back to Texas.  I understand going somewhere else to move up the ladder, especially when the HC looks like he will be here for a while.  I was suggesting that the district offer incentives for the coaches to stay to keep the coaching core together.  Ned has had their share of assistants moving around, but the core group with the OC and DC have been the same for many years.  I would guess that they could also go somewhere else to coach at the HC/AD level, but choose not to.

But retaining them in your program for consistency is better.  I understand that the overall program won't change because the HC is still there, but coaching styles are different even within the same program.

I put Ned and PNG at 1 and 2  respectively, with either Vidor or Ozen in third and fourth.  Vidor has not proven that they can beat either of the top 2 consistently.

Looking ahead, for this group, there is 1, 2 and maybe a third.  These players have to have the potential to develop and strengthen into a Varsity pitchers.  Just because you pitched when you were 13 doesn't put you on the mound in hs.  If you want little Johnny to play, go to Png.  However, yours might not be the one they want.  I know that they would love to have our Big Gun on the mound playing for them.  Their group at this level is pitching poor. Look at the Varsity and tell me what you see.  Some parents belly ached for their kids to pitch earlier in hs and now the are not even on the field anywhere at the Varsity level. I believe he is referring to Lumberton's playbook.  Collins is a 3 star ranking on Scout.  I couldn't find any mention of Quirante on either Scout, Max Preps or Rivals.
