There's just something not right about this match up

The most impressive game of Center's season thus far was their most recent one.  For the second year in a row, the Roughriders upset Kilgore.  This year, that win was imperative in order for the Roughriders to get into the playoffs.  Kilgore scored the game's first 28 points before the Roughriders made their move and came away with a 49-35 win.  [Yes, you read that right.  Center overcame a 28-point deficit!]
The Roughriders are a young team, but they have no doubt gained confidence since losing all 4 of their non-district games.  I recall that their coach won three consecutive state championships while at AAA Daingerfield before arriving in Center.  So they are a well-coached team that is no doubt excited about qualifying for this year's play-off tournament.  And they have shown a never-say-die mentality.
Silsbee also has a lot of young talent and is well coached. Although this game will be a #1-seed against a #4-seed, it could well be an exciting and competitive 1st-round game.

Silsbee should win this one but they better not take Center for granted. They are really young and started the season slow but finished 3-3 in what might be the best 4A-D-1 district in the state. Go Riders!

I get what you're saying, but rider78 & Fighting Lama tried explaining to you in several of their post their view of it, but you're so set on that only you're points are correct, that you're not willing to stop and think that they may actually have a good argument. Trying to talk to you is like beating a dead horse, it's pointless. That's why I say your delusional. 

Boy, aren't you the delusional one. Good or bad calls, refs DO influence the outcome of a game. Duh!

But they do refuse to make calls that are obvious, such as traveling, double dribble, fouls, etc. And they also count very quickly sometimes. If you had seen the game you would know what I am talking about. If you think for one second, the refs cannot influence the outcome of a game, in any sport, you are crazy.

I was at the regional tournament in Commerce and I can tell you that Argyle was in no way the best team in the tournament. If it had not been for the Dallas chapter of refs, Center would have beaten them maybe by double digits. Watch #5 push off every time he dribbles with someone on him. I watched it happen in two games and it never got called. Granted, they took Paris out of their game and would have probably beaten them without the refs, but they could not have beaten Center without their help. Hope you have good refs in the state tournament. Good luck.

Its because you're trying to be confused. ...which makes you look ignorant. They're not going to be careless and play a sloppy game. I never said they got away with mistakes. Its not a mistake if you're not called for it, right? As rider78 stated, their guards push off alot...#5 more so than #3. But they do it in a way that is very subtle. Its not that eye popping, without a doubt, full extension push off that leaves the defender off balance and awkward looking. One thing they were called for multiple times, though, was a moving screen. I bet they had 5 or 6 of those calls go against them...which, I would say probably isn't too terribly bad given the number of screens they set.
I hope silsbee wins. Some folks asked for opinions on argyle, so that's what I offered. I would venture to say they will likely be the least athletic team in San Antonio this weekend. But they don't win with athleticism. They win with discipline.

This is the last I'm saying about argyle/center because obviously this is an argyle/silsbee thread. 
As for refs...Yea I think they could've been better. Do I think they beat center? Not exactly. Center was 10-17 from FT's for the game and missed 9 or so shots right around the bucket (4ft or less) if I counted correctly (I've watched the film twice now). If half of these go in and a few more FT's we win by double digits. Cookie just didn't crumble our way Friday evening. Just how it goes sometimes. With that said, I do have some interesting numbers that I wrote down. Through 3 qtrs, center had a total of 8 fouls called against them, while argyle had 13. I think there were a couple missed calls both ways through 3 qtrs. The score was 36-34 argyle's favor heading to 4th. In the 4th qtr, argyle committed 3 fouls. 2 of which were intentional "take" fouls with under 1 min to go. Center, on the other hand, had 8 fouls called against them in the 4th. Only 1 was intentional, late in 4th. Argyle shot 6-12 from FT's in the 4th, Center was 0-0. Argyle did not have a made FG over the last 4:30 or so of the game. All points from then on were FT's. 
It was unfortunate for Center, but it is what it is. Life goes on. I'll be pulling for the Tigers to get it done against Argyle Friday afternoon.

Freshman JV players for Tenaha in 2nd half. SP had problems containing 115 & 130 lb running backs.These guys practice all year and want to play to. I wouldn't have any respect for a coach who told them not to try.

The only one that could humiliate the Lions, would be the Lions themselves and I don't see that happening. Henderson is very well coached and is a very disciplined team, which has a lot to do with their success this season.

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH... Let's play the game on the court... First thing first, Hudson and Center then we can talk about what Silsbee can do. I am not going to take anything away from Silsbee, but they have 4 losses on the season. Granted, they loss to some very good teams, but they aren't invisible.

You Now I Said Navasota would win this game by 5' but I'm really not sure if they can beat Center.! This Navasota " team just might not make it out of this one to play Silsbee at all Rattler99.!! I said from the start Wheatley wasn't really all that good are Sterling. Not nearly good enough to beat Silsbee. Lol .. The only thing you and the Rattles should be worrying about is Center. And getting ready for baseball practice Monday .!!
