Flatonia def Bosqueville in the Semifinal game, and Beckville in the Finals to win the State Title in 2A.

Ironically, Evadale and Big Sandy both beat Flatonia in the first game of each series.  Just saying.

Both of those teams you listed will return a lot next year.  The loss to Flatonia did not sit well with our boys.

I agree.  I wasn't even sure, and when I found out it was one game, I was in disbelief.  But hey, Congratulations to Flatonia!  They didn't make the rules, and they won the game.   

And if I could've bet money, I'd loaded up on Beckville and lost my booty

It is kind of strange that an area round can be decided by three games, but the kids only get one game once they get to the most important point of their high school careers.

I would like to see them play a double-elimination tourney between the four state qualifiers. They would have to utilize multiple sites to accommodate each division, but I don't see any prohibitive problems with doing a tourney.
