Some haven't forgotten the obvious: BU head coach Green is from Silsbee.  He knows that level of basketball because he played at that level. Silsbee coach Sigler was his coach, and his mentor.  They are probably good friends.  Who wants to be riding in a bus for long stretches of time and miles to play a so called more worthy opponent on a cold Tuesday evening, when you can get a good run from a team 20 miles away.  Arm chair keyboard warrior 'coaches' are good at cashing checks in their minds.

BU played at 4:30 but I haven’t been able to find any score on them.

According to the bracket, BU plays again Tomorrow at 1:00 pm vs. Lafayette Renaisance in the semifinals.

BU was scheduled to play Bolton today, but I was told that they forfeited.  So LaGrange filled in and we won.

I want to share a story from last year.
After the game, my folks and I went to the Whiskey Cake in Katy for a very late dinner. I had driven in from Leander that afternoon and they had left PN-G late due to work. Nobody’d had the time to eat beforehand.
There was a family in the restaurant from Liberty Hill sitting a few tables down from us. They had a little girl with them, maybe seven or eight years old, and an older boy who appeared to be late middle school or early high school age. I figured he was a player on the freshman team.
That little girl realized we were from PN-G and gave us the evil eye for the entire dinner. I’m talking a full hour of this girl glaring at us from across the dining area, non-stop. You could feel the heat coming off this girl’s gaze. I had to fight not to crack up all night because every time I’d look over to my left, I had the possessed girl’s hellish stare from the exorcism movie looking straight back at me. You could tell the PN-G crowd, the War Chant and Cherokee had driven this poor girl insane that night.
Her parents picked up on what was going on and came over to talk to us after they finished their meal. Couldn’t have been nicer folks. Wished us luck in the championship, complimented the fan base - just nice, small town people. I told them I lived just down the road in Leander and drove in for the game. Even for a fan base like Liberty Hill’s that generally travels well, you could tell they were shocked that out-of-town alumni would make a drive like that to see the Indians play.
This is the game where our fan base earned the “rabid” label online last year. Every time I think about that, I think about that ferocious glare from that little girl. I have a feeling I’m gonna feel it coming across the field at me again this year. Scalp ‘em!

Yes.  The seniors that’s on this team.  They were Freshmen then I think.  21 was the buzzer beater year.  Arceneaux was a Junior that year…

What’s your point?  I seriously doubt “getting in” was the reason for the question.  

I came away last night very impressed with Beaumont West Brook basketball team but was also very disappointed in Port Arthur Memorial. My friend and HOF'er Andre Boutte has got himself a squad this year. They will be a force in 6A Region III. Memorial is definitely not the #10 team in 5A. They had no chance in last night's game. Titans have lot's to work on to be a contender in district play.

I got to do something different for my remaining 3 boys besides BISD.  Checking out Hamshire Fannett Longhorns tonight @ WO-S...so no updates on this one from me tonight.

One could argue it’s only an issue because it went to that electrician and not his usual counterparts……

Hell yeah it is lol losing to a 5A school is embarrassing getting blown out by one kills all the team confidence you have left…also the schools I suggested BU should play def wouldn’t of blew them out! 

United has some serious size. But it’s a really, really bad coaching product. 

Who cares about your current district. Nobody cares, I’m talking about United and West Brook if they drop down to 5A.
we got plenty of state championships my man. Open your eyes up past football and basketball. We can compare overall state championship in a number of sports if you want to go that route. Heck, we can even talk about education too if that tickles your fancy, but I don’t think you want that smoke.😂😎
