82 5A State Champs

26 yard TD Westfield on a 4th and 5 play from the 26.....7-0 Mustangs with just over 10 minutes left in the first.

I know, I know.......I'm not being pessimistic, just being realistic. The odds in us winning the game tonight just took a drastic turn in WF's favor. As far as the band and cheerleaders not going, I have to assume it has something to do with the weather and the driving conditions, but cannot confirm this. Just want to wish our boys good luck tonight.

Things not looking so good over at the Brook. As already stated, several players out with the flu. Since all the rain over the past few days, and into tonight, the wet field is going to limit our already anemic running game. Having to pass for yardage with wet footballs, doesn't usually end up so well. In a nutshell, it's gonna be extremely hard for our boys to move the rock under these types of conditions and circumstances. Not to mention, I have learned that BISD is not allowing cheerleaders, bands, drill teams, or other to go to the game in Spring tonight. I dont know the reasoning for this, but it is not good. In addition to the fact that we are playing at their house, with alot more of their fans. Home field advantage? So lets recap..........ill offensive players, wet fields with limited running game, no support from cheerleaders, drill team or the band........means our boys are on their own. Sounds like a recipe for a disasterous night for the Bruins. Hopefully, it wont be too bad. :'(

The most anoying announcer ever....I think he thought "Simon" from American Idol was a there...and if Simon was there he'd say, "It was absolutely horrible!!!"....I couldn't even here the band at times because of "Mr Mic" on the microphone. I wonder how the Central parents can stand that every home game....Poor band, I'm sure they play great....just take the batteries out the microphone next time, so we can here THE BAND!!! I just couldn't believe that he was actually singing along as the band played. Everyone that was sitting around me was rolling, laughing hysterically!!!

Just curious as to what you mean. Do you believe that 5 teams in this area would beat Brook if they went head-to-head? Are you saying 5A teams or 5 teams from this area? There is only one 5A other than Westbrook around here and no i dont think PAM can beat the Brook head to head, as far as 5 Teams in this area im sure there is someone in this area that can beat WB. If I had to pick one from the ones you mentioned, I'd have to say Dayton could beat WB....WO-S, maybe....Vidor, NO....Lumberton, NO! WB already beat Central......

LOL! We need to make ALL the FG's if we're gonna make a run towards the playoffs! You sound pretty optimistic. I believe the last time we played Westfield, we went toe to toe with their offense. But we also had C-mike and Albert Williams in the backfield, and we still lost. Personally, I just hope we can keep it close.

I want to watch it just to see a replay of Central's band at halftime. OMG, it was totally hilarious! I've never laughed so hard at a bands halftime performance in my entire life....and I was in band in HS and have seen alot of different ones. I must admit, seeing the Jack Yates HS band once when I was in HS was a bit amusing......but Central's takes the cake! You should check it out!!!!! It was off the chain!!!

The point being, Raideroldtimer had Central ranked in front of West Brook. He then said that Central had a strength of schedule advantage. My point is, I dont care who has a tougher schedule between Central, Lumberton and WO-S. West Brook beat Central, so shouldn't WB be at the top of those rankings? How can you rank a team as a third place team when they beat a first place team? Make sense?

ROFLMAOTIWMP!!! Keep on thinking that......cause it's gonna be a long night for you if you do. Central's offense is loaded with speed and quickness, and they can score from anywhere on the field. Man, you guys have a rude awakening when district gets here.

Leonard George Stadium......pm sent, Baldwin 88 Jr has been watching film all day...I saw them too...I think we'll be alright... (chuckling to myself).....I hope Stump has a wabbit to pull out of his hat, cause they are gonna be tough to beat. Trust me, I've seen them play in person enough to know. Again, I think defensively we'll be OK, but the offense is what concerns me. Allright Jr., I challenge you.....astonish me on Friday night!!! Whatdya say? ;D

Well, since you've seen film on them.....whats your opinion on how we'll do against them. I know our defense should be in good shape, but I gotta tell ya...I'm a little worried about our ability to put points on the board. You cant do it all by yourself, although you've done a great job thus far. You've got to have a little help in the RB department. What can we expect to see?

Spring

This is worse than the college polling system. West Brook takes a group of juniors and sophomores and beats argueably the best team in 20-4A and this dude puts Central and 2 other schools out of that district a head of them. Go figure. It's a good thing homers like you don't get a vote in any real polls. We got lucky against a real good Jaguar team, but y'all struggled with a winless Barbers Hill team huh? Oh wait, you put them in the poll to cover up the fact that Lumberton hasn't played anyone and doesn't deserve to be ranked! Good luck with the rest of your season. : I agree with you 100%, joey! And he's talking about Central having a tougher schedule.....by whose standards? We get to play Spring Westfield, Aldine Eisenhower, and defending 5A state champion Katy....any of those three would crush the crap out of your beloved Raiders.
