For those of you that dont know, Soulja and I made a deal. He bet me that if his Jags beat the Bruins, that I would have to attend a Central game donning the maroon and silver of the Jags....and vice versa. Being that the Brook squeaked out a win against the Jags 14-8, I thought I would encourage the posters on this forum to choose the shirt that he will have to wear to a Brook game. He told me on the phone today, that he was planning on attending our Homecoming game against Eisenhower this Friday. What a better way to show his support for the Bruins than to wear the chosen shirt to the game. Come on gang, which Bruin shirt should Soulja wear? A) C) D)

Yes, WF was a very good team. When you play very good teams, they have an ability to make decent teams look very bad. Thats what they did to us. I wasn't at the game, but I listened to it on the net. Even though both announcers were WF homers, it was quite obvious that we had some key personnel missing. Truthfully, we aren't to the point where we can compete with some of the more seasoned 5A programs yet. Heck, we didn't really start moving the ball until the second half, and by then, they already had a 40+ point lead. The only reason we started scoring points was because their second and third string players were in the game. I fully expect Stump to have the boys focused for the Ike game, and hopefully vent some frustration out on them. This will be our last realistic chance for a "W" before district starts.

No worries there. WB @ Katy is that Saturday Doesn't matter. I'm still not gonna waste my gas driving to Rhodes Stadium just to watch us get killed. I'd rather go to the Central/Vidor game. Is that game being played at the Babe?

I keep hearing everybody ragging on our defense. I'm telling you, our defense this year has been better than its been in years past. The problem is, we dont have an offense that can keep up. Aside from the WF game last night, we had only given up 8 points in two games. Our offense is not up to going toe to toe with any of the premier teams in the state, and it was obvious of that last night. WF beat us on several big plays last night. Very seldom did they have a long, sustained drive that produced points. Stump is a smart guy, otherwise he wouldn't be where he's at. Also, we are very young. Out of a 52 man roster, only 20 are seniors, and 5 are sophomores. There are only one or two seniors that are starters. THat should tell you that experience is being gained for next season. Yes, we're gonna lose some games this season, but we'll end the season with a winning record.

I dont know all of the stats, but at the half West Brook had -1 yards rushing. So most of their yardage came in the second half against WF's second and third strings.

That'll be a great, great matchup. I might even forego the WB/Katy game to go and see Vidor/Central.
