You keep saying that we wont make it, and I keep explaining it to you.....2 GAMES! That's all the district games we have to win, and we're in. Take your pick, PAM, Lee, Sterling, Channelview? It doesn't matter to me, but mark my words, now.....We will make the playoffs!

I wouldn't bet the farm on that just yet. No, we most likely wont beat Katy. However, we might squeak out a win against Westfield, or overrated Eisenhower. Anything can happen in HS football, my friend. Regardless of the outcome with the rest of the preseason, we should be more than prepared when district play starts.

Tell me they looked good after they play Central, Lumberton, Nederland, PN-G.......... When they've beaten the upper echelon of 20-4A, then I'll give them KUDOS! So far, they haven't beaten anybody.

BC should win this one fairly easily. Kountze doesn't have too much to bring to the table. If this were a basketball game instead of football, then it might be a different story.

I agree with you on that. However, it didn't seem like we threw the ball alot. QB option, QB keeper.......is what I saw alot of. I dont know how to predict this one, because I haven't seen Central play. I expect to see a dog-fight (no offense Mr. Vick) to the end, with hopefully the Brook on top. There is alot riding on this game, more than usual for me. I think if we stick to our gameplan and use our athleticism to our advantage, we should pull away from the Jags in the second half. But if we continue with the stupid penalties and missed opportunities, then it could be a long night for the Bruins.

yes, we were better than I thought we would be. I was at the field house when the teams walked up at the half side by side and you could see and feel how Ozen was imtimidated by Da Brook. Intimidated??? Really, Ozen was intimidated? Wow that is shocking considering WB is a young squad. What's the Bruins secret? They seemed to be intimidated by the shear size of our players and by the number of players we had on the sidelines. If you look at the size of most of Ozen's players, they looked like little kids to me.

It's also against the forum rules to call out a player or coach by name.

Once again, you need to wake up and smell the coffee, ozensfinest. We compete in 21-5A, which is a six team district. Four of those teams will make the playoffs. What that means is, all we have to do is win 2 district games and we're in. If we improve week after week, and get through our juggerknaut of a pre-season schedule without injury (Ike, Westfield, and Katy), we will be more than prepared to roll through district and win 3 or 4 games. We wont beat NS, but I dont see WB losing to either of the Baytown schools, Channelview or PAM. We'll see how WB does this week against those speedsters from Central.

Sissy Ball? Oh, I get it, that must be your name for the spread offense. Its allright SFA85, everybody here knows you're a WB hater. Make all the excuses you want, but Ozen looked really bad tonight. Lots of penalties first game jitters really got to them. They will be OK, but Nelson has alot of work to do with them before they are contenders.

I'm not doubting the Pack but NS won't shoot themselves in the foot after tonight. they better not, they know what happened last yr. LP was down and almost beat them. LP is back to state title contender status. it might just be the best game of the yr IMO. I think that game was a wake-up call for Katy last year. It should be a good one, but Katy wont let that happen twice in two years. If I wasn't working days next weekend, I'd like to see Conroe McCollough(TWH) against Katy. Last year, the Highlanders took out 6 Tigers in a blowout....

Boy I tell ya, the games between these two teams are great....last year 10-6 NS, and now 9-7 Katy! Isn't Texas HS football great!

Geez, it's nothing personal.....I just dont like them because we haven't had much success against either of them. They both have very good programs.
