I hate to say it guys, but I think Katy wins this game by 3 TD's. Our lackluster tackling and inability to stop the run against a "less that stellar" Ike team, tells me that we cant stop Katy's running attack. I predict the first half will be close, but Katy will dominate the second half. I'm just going off of what I saw last night and how Katy typically plays. I certainly hope I'm wrong. I will be there in support of my team, and praying for a miracle, but after what I saw last night....it doesn't look good. Again, I hope I'm wrong.

WOW. I'm not sure what to say about this game tonight. It was definitely a tale of two halves. WB clearly dominated the first half, and led 27-0 at halftime. Other than one offensive play in the third, which we fumbled the ball away, Ike had the ball the entire third quarter. We could not stop them. Poor tackling and a QB that can run almost got us tonight. We've got to stop trying to arm tackle these guys. That aint gonna work! If the team that I saw in the second half shows up next week against Katy, we're gonna be in trouble, gang! Its a "W" in the books, but Ike should have been held to just 7 points, IMO. We also had a few key players injured, but nothing that appears too serious. Offensive starters came out at the end of the third. Backups scored the last TD of the night for the final score 42-21. Fix the tackling woes, or we're gonna be in for a long night against the Tigers next week.

I'll give my prediction on this game after I see how they do against WB today.

THe score shouldn't have been that close. Sterling is garbage. Humble should have hung 50 on the Rangers.

First off, I am a fan and a proud graduate of West Brook. I am also not naieve, either. The realist in me says, we should give them a great battle but will prolly come up short in the end. The optimist in me says, we're ranked #7 in the state and can prolly hang with anybody in the state, and therefore, have a good chance of beating Katy. So imma look at it like this......if I wager that the Bruins lose, and that comes to fruition, then I win the bet and whatever has been wagered. If the Bruins win the game and I lose the bet, then the wager doesn't really matter cause I was wrong and we've won the game. So you see, I win either way. Is that a distorted way of looking at, or what?  ;) I would rather lose the bet and win the game, to be perfectly honest. So to answer your question....I'm not really betting against our boys, but I'm not betting for them, either. Confused....me too! ;D Either way, Katy is gonna leave Beaumont knowing that they just played a really good team.

Providing West Brook wins this Saturday against Ike, the Katy game would represent the first time West Brook would have played another ranked team, AS a ranked team. Right now it would be the #3 Katy Tigers against the #7 West Brook Bruins. I think it will be on every highlight reel in the state. I hope we give them a good game! ;)

Well, by the time WB plays LP, we will have seen some of the best in the state.....Katy, Tyler Lee, PA Memorial, ans North Shore. I agree that they appear to be a better team from last year, but I think WB will be fine against them. Hopefully we will make it through the season without getting too banged up and can give them a good game.
