Bruins still have to play PA Memorial and Humble. At 4-1 in district play so far, I say there's a good chance they'll make the playoffs. Good Luck Bruins. Donte Lopez......save a little bit of yourself for football season next year!

Albert should have no problem landing a scholarship offer from a premier college. His work ethic and his athletic ability speak for themselves. His future impact on the Bruin track team will also speak volumes regarding his recovery. All of us here at SETX.com wish Albert the best of luck at the next level.

"The test does not look for recreational drugs." So, basically what this means is that a student cant take a performance-enhancing drug (i.e., HGH or anabolic steroids), but said student can smoke all the marijuana he wants, test positive for a controlled substance, and it wont have an impact on whether or not he plays sports, as long as it's not steroids. Am I missing something here? IMO, if a student athlete tests positive for ANY controlled substance, from pot to meth to steroids, he should be banned from UIL events. Period. End of story.

MAn, it must be a great feeling to know that the whole community supports the HS program starting at the pee-wee level. That makes for a great program with great tradition. I wish we could do that around here for our local boys.

Congrats to all those that made the team......it's nice to see the 'Suprise' finally recognize some of the players from West Brook and the season they had!

It's really too bad that certain people can destroy one team's victorious season. All it takes is one bad egg in the bunch......

NO DOUBT! I'll probably never watch that channel again. BTW Cowboys got a field goal and are up 20-10 with 6:46 left!

The first half was a real good game! The second half was typical Katy football. They made some key halftime adjustments that shut down the Pflugerville running game, and that really was the deciding factor. Katy is , hands down the best HS team in Texas....and 3rd Ranked Nationally!

Maybe WB will have a shot at it next year!
