Steven Avery reacted to BH85 in Barbers Hill 78 Port Arthur Memorial 32/FINAL
Freshman PG had 37 points and she sat out the 4th.

The Nederland loss hurt them for the playoff race. They are going to have to find a way to win one of the Dayton games. It’s going to be fun to see how this all plays out though. With basically 3 or 4 games left, it’s still anybody’s place 2-5. BH pretty much has first place locked up. BH I think has VIdor, PNG and Cleveland left
PNG still has two teams left in the playoff race in Nederland and PAM, plus BH then Vidor.
PAM still has to finish Dayton game and play them a second time, plus PNG, then I think Vidor and Cleveland
Nederland still has PNG this Friday and I believe BH and Dayton.
Dayton still has PAM the two games, plus Nederland.

Travel is going to suck for a couple of those games too. I think they should put TC and SF in a district closer to the schools.

Even though the program has significantly improved under the leadership of the new coach, I agree with you 100%, i.e., "not ready yet." In my opinion, there's no greater experience than being on the same field with an opponent that has the edge on size, speed, and power - particularly.....speed.
In spite of today's defeat, I tip my hat to the Eagles coaching staff and team, particularly, the QB who played with heart and left it all out on the field. Heck of a game! Congrats Eagles! I expect today's disappointing defeat will be a stepping stone towards greater achievement. Great season BH!

Nope, but I could roll a safety over to help a DB that was getting smoked every play. I know you're Mr. Coach and try to call every fan out.

Steven Avery reacted to Peppermint Patty in Most Disappointing Team 2019
They were the best team in Baytown.
I hope the UIL will put us all in the same district next year. Baytown needs some "rivalry" type games (along with some wins) to peak interest in football again.

GCCISD needs to figure out a way to get all 3 schools in same district along with BH, Dayton and Crosby....plus two others.

It will be extremely interesting to see what the cutoff numbers will be. It would be nice to see all the GCCISD schools as a 5a. I think Sterling and GCM will be right at the cutoff 5a d1 and 6a. I guess time will tell.

It would be nice if they balanced the 3 schools and played each other. I figure that would help travel cost as well since all of your sports would have 2 of their opponents across town. The way it is right now with all 3 in different districts is not ideal in my mind. Would make some nice, healthy competition along with some natural rivals. All of those are fun things when your in high school.
Maybe that is just a pipe dream though. Lee is smaller in size than Sterling and GCM so maybe the best we can hope for is Sterling and GCM to be the same size and Lee to be the smaller school. We shall see....
It would be interesting to see a district with GCCISD, Barber's Hill, Dayton, and Crosby all playing each other one day, but first things first is GCCISD has to all be in one district.

He is the one of the big problems.....No accountability for Mulvaney in his hires. This guy they have now is just another in a long time getting this pension salaries up before he jets somewhere else. As high as the pay is in GCCISD, you ought to be able to find a good coach who is here for the long haul. Since ol Bernie was a football coach himself how could these kind of results not be driving yourself crazy...embarrassing....its a direct reflection of you.....a joke

Steven Avery got a reaction from BlackShirts5 in TIM FINN NAMED NEW HEAD COACH AT BAYTOWN LEE
Thats where Dick Olin had a point....Riley has a vested interest in the community and knows the Baytown traditions.....lets face it you can hire vince lombardi to coach the ganders in todays world and its not going to matter....Atleast hire someone that was there when they were successful, that knows the culture that did work, and has a vested interest in district/community...and I say that not knowing Riley from a hole in the ground. but I know everyone that I know speaks highly of him.
The original GCM football coach was ok...he didnt try to leave after his 3 years like aduddell did, he was pushed out by the bad AD...Im not just talking football in terms of bad hires, Im talking across the board in all sports there has been some very bad hires. The AD thinks he is the smartest guy in the room and the people in Baytown are just a bunch of uneducated rednecks.

I've watched this team since Rupp was there. They went from being well coached to winning solely on talent overcoming questionable coaching decisions....this year it finally caught up with them. It's a known issue that both D1 commits do as they please, show up when they want to show up, basically operate with no rules while everyone else toes the line. Coaches fault for letting it get to that point.
This team already has the most losses in program history but talent wise they are solid across the board...no excuse for it.

Well a coaching staff cant let the studs have different rules than everyone else and expect everything to go smoothly. The one "stud" even quit and was allowed to come right back into the lineup a game later. Coaching staff is in way over their heads. Thames or Rupp would have this team going on a deep playoff run.

Lol bandito black 14 year old players
coach has freshman parents and family in his ear...supposedly team called players only meeting last night about it...not to mention they are carrying too many on the roster....can't give enough playing time to keep them happy
apparently gcm said coach gave up 3-5 games from first weekend tourney to play one game at Minute Maid park Monday night
