1. We've played both, and Silsbee takes this.  It's hard to cheat on the road, WOS...
2.

I'll promise you this, WOS98.  You don't have to worry about your kids getting cheated like that if y'all play in our house next year.  But then again, that's why even Dan Hooks chooses to live in Bridge City.
Excuses, excuses and my boy play on the 8th grade team! Hey who cares where Dan Hooks stays? Seems to me you're the only one that cares.. Lol. Last time I check Coach Thompson was the coach @ the House that Dan Ray built! Matter fact y don't y'all bring Hooks out of Retirement to be BC Coach?
Uh huh... and Thompson chooses to live in Orangefield, too.  It must be worse than I thought over there.

4. We won in regulation, we couldn't protect our lead in the extended period.  Nah, the entire second half, when the Stangs were behind, the clock would stop after every play.... regardless of who had the ball, if the play never went out of bounds, time out wasn't  called, no first down made, or anything.... clock would stop and then not restart until the ref spotted the ball, noticed the clock stopped, and windmilled until the qb was under center.  I'm sure the ump had to ice his shoulder Thursday night from swinging that thing over and over, trying to get the timekeeper to get it moving again (when the stangs were behind, that is...). That's when the timekeeper would restart the clock.  There was an easy 12-15 seconds that WEREN'T run off of the clock after every play while the stangs were behind.  Then, when we didn't protect the ball and lost our lead with 1:57 left in the game, suddenly the timekeeper can't figure out how to stop the clock from spinning.  They had to put time BACK on the clock 3 times in the final 1:57 seconds.  If you have 15 or so errors in the timekeeping, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF WHICH FAVORS THE MUSTANGS...... well, it is what it is. We get it, WOS... the timekeeper was just giving his 112%, too. Too bad that one adult couldn't keep things in perspective.
5. BC 8A by scoring more points than the ponies.  Again.
6. Hey, Rake..... How's that WOS 8th A playing?  All I'm hearing is gossip from the kids.
7. Keep sleeping on us....  BC will be in the playoffs again.
8. No offense, but did they ever start assigning the best football minds to coach the 7th graders? I always thought seventh grade coaches were the guys that coach mostly because they don't want to drive a bus.
9. BC 8A beat CO Wilson 8A.....  14-6.  Keep your head up, dawgs...y'all are going to win some games this year!
10.
Ahhhh, just looked it up that is actually the school song. I am talking about the fight song they play when OF scores a TD
I don't guess I've ever heard it....  *Shrugs* Go Cards!
11. Who was responsible for Bridge City becoming the Cardinals?  I mean, seriously...what qualities does a cardinal have that we are trying to exemplify?  A voracious appetite for earthworms?  Somebody should have lost their job over that crap.
12. Don't worry about broadcasting BC's... we're all going to BE at the game.
13. Silsbee will finish in third place this year..... a three-peat if you will.  BC isn't looking to drop down quite yet.
14. We'll know a lot more on August 31st....
15. Bridge City by scoring more points than the Eagles.
16.
Strange.  WO-S usually top 10 as a given due to past history and reputation.  This year they have several D1 candidates and rank 23.  DCTF puts high emphasis on D1 prospects and returning starters on making their rankings.  This may be good for WO-S although they may not bust the top 10 due to their schedule.  But I do see them making a post season run.  The defense sounds pretty stout from what I've been reading.
They have to get past a pretty good BC team and Silsbee team in district.
17. The answer is easier than the current high school OC.  Some levels of STJFL field as many as three teams per age group from Lumberton.  Most of the other schools that are represented in Lumberton's district field 2 or three teams as well.  Since Lumberton has only one Junior High, you condense two or three teams worth of talent into one team, while Port Neches AND Groves field multiple teams... Nederland fields multiple teams, too.  Each of those teams continues to develop multiple layers of talent, and eventually merge to form a high school unit from the best kids from as many as four 8th grade teams.  The kids from Lumberton are at a disadvantage because they don't get to develop in practice and games, up to the point that a lot of good kids give up over lack of involvement before they ever develop into their full potential.  There really isn't a good solution for that problem. Lots of empty seats on the L-train these days, btw....
18. Bridge City, of course.  I'm excited to see BC taking on some good non-district opponents.
19. Man, that's a disappointment.  I thought they needed an assistant Facebook Coach.  I think I would be good at coaching kids about the 'book and several other social media sites.
20. So, if y'all had converted for two, you would have squeaked out a tie?  I stand corrected.  Just admit that we won handily in 2011, and admit that if y'all hadn't gone to play Pop Warner in 2010, you would have likely lost to us then, too.  If not, we'll just have to agree to wait and see what happens when these two teams meet up again this year. Ok, who besides me and Rake is excited about seeing a little BC-WOS 8th grade football?
21. Yeah, that was back when 21 year old roughnecks still suited up and played for HD.  Or so i've been told.
22. The fact is this.  Y'all were lucky to avoid getting beat in your own house by the Cards last year.  There wasn't a butt on the bleachers on either side until we got stopped on fourth down, driving for the lead in the final minute.  So when you guys come on here, talking about shutting out every opponent in district, and wondering whether or not your're ever going to lose a district game... Well, it's motivating.  Did you notice that you guys aren't even ranked this year?  It's kinda like when everybody knows that some guy's fly is open but him.  It's gonna be sweet.
