Who pitched for Silsbee?
#7 started, then #12 and #9 -
K looking for out #3
-
Out #2 on a fly out to center
-
Out #1 on a K.
-
#7 with a shot off the wall in Right Center for a lead off double
-
5 runs on 2 hits....
Danced with the devil too long and now he's on the mound.
He isn't quite older brother, but everything sure looks very similar. Not quite as big, not quite as hard. -
Catcher for silsbee (little bitty fella) gets the runner at 2nd. Kolek in for shepherd to attempt to close it out.
-
Another 2 strike hit for shepherd makes it 7-5
Pitching change for silsbee. #9 in for #12 -
Shepherd sends one into the gap! 2 runs score. First real hard hit of the game for either team. 6-5 shepherd
-
Silsbee gets a k, but gets away from catcher. Shepherd gets another. Runners on 1st and 3rd.
-
Shepherd scratches one across with 2 walks, HBP and sac fly. 2 outs 1st and 3rd.
-
Shepherd pitcher, Hoepfl gets out of it yet again.
-
Yet another single and stolen base and silsbee hads another runner in scoring position.
-
3 quick ground balls and shepherd is done in the 5th.
-
Nice job by the shepherd pitcher (with a nice play from CF) to get out without a run.
-
Texas Leaguer and a stolen base have silsbee threatening yet again.
-
Wow. Momentum change again. Same kid who stroked at 2nd base first time around strokes one at the ss, who catches it and gets the double play at 2nd to end the inning.
Big inning for shepherd here. Need to get back in the dugout and swinging again quick. Have labored through every inning thus far. -
Passed ball scores a run after silsbee gets a K on a questionable strike three.
-
Hit batter (off the helmet and over the back stop) on the next pitch loss the bases and brings on a pitching change. 5 hole up for shepherd. Good effort from the silsbee kid, chastain I believe.
-
Shepherd gets another single to get on the board. Still 1st and 2nd no outs
-
Shepherd finally gets a hit after a lead off walk. 1st and 2nd no outs
-
Total change of pace.
Silsbee capitalizing on every mistake.
Silsbee has stolen every time they have gotten on. Silsbee only has 1 strikeout that I recall. Doing a great job of putting the ball in play. Haven't hit one hard yet, but they are putting consistent pressure on shepherd fielders. -
Glad they reversed that. Neutral observer here and that was plain as day. Shouldn't have taken four umpires to get that one right.
-
Oh wow. That was a terrible call. Short hop on a throw at first was obviously never caught but first base ump calls out.
