Yoe_09 got a reaction from Woodshed in Diboll 14 Halletsville 0/Final
Gotta give credit to Diboll as the defense was just suffocating the entire night. Hallettsville has been run-heavy all year and was consistently losing yards on first down most of the night.

Yoe_09 got a reaction from Setx fan in East Chambers vs Little River Academy Predictions
Special teams was a major factor. Yoakum had problems making extra points and the line-drive punts went 15 yards. Academy has a guy that can kick it into the end zone.

Yoe_09 got a reaction from lionpride08 in Cameron Yoe 9 Buna 1/Game 2-FINAL/Cameron Yoe 2 Buna 1/Game 3-FINAL/Yoe wins series 2-1
Buna and Woodville will certainly be contenders in the region next season. Buna will be losing their ace and best hitter, but has some good, younger arms behind him. Woodville appeared to have had an extremely talented Malakoff team beat in game 3, but had an error in the 7th?
Cameron is losing nobody. Teams like Malakoff and Troy will be taking heavy hits to graduation. Central Heights will also be drastically improved in 2022.

Yoe_09 got a reaction from jv_coach in My 4A DII Realignment Projection
It's tough when there are only 93 teams in the division. That is 5.8125 teams per district if you divide it out. With districts like 16-4A, all those teams really need to be in the same district, so that obviously takes away.
I just saw Padilla's this morning, and I will let you know he does have 1 four and 6 five team districts....and of course it's different than mine.

Yoe_09 got a reaction from TrojanMoJo in Diboll 6 Cameron Yoe 21/FINAL
Diboll was an excellent football team, and had one of the best defensive fronts we've seen since being in this classification. I can see why they held teams to negative yards and no first downs throughout the season.
How'd the sub-varsity play out in the district this year?

Yoe_09 got a reaction from jimmyw in Matchups I would love to see
Yes, last year WO-S would have had Cameron's #, no doubt about that. I am just talking long term success and the best programs around. There will be times when a team is either really great or a little down, but in the long run, these teams have proven to be the best of the best in their area. Those are the matchups I want to see. Same goes for Newton.

4 straight appearances overall. 5 out of the last 6.

For a 3A school, fairly deep. We traditionally do not start anyone both ways, and I don't believe that will change this year.

Yeah, Crockett will be a mis-match for most that cant match their speed. Crockett was very good last season.......what will make them great is a solid defense.

Yoe_09 got a reaction from Mr. Buddy Garrity in District 11-3A D1
I really think you are looking at a battle between 1-2 & 3-4-5 if Kountze will be down from last year's 2-8 team.
Bi-District predictions:
Coldspring/Hempstead
Kirbyville/East Chambers
Buna/Hitchcock
Woodville/La Marque
Once again, I think the first two and second two matchups have the most potential to be switched.

Cameron Yoemen
2006 - Lost to La Vega in Bi-District
2007 - Lost to La Vega in Bi-District
2008 - No Playoffs
2009 - No Playoffs
2010 - STATE FINALIST
2011 - Area Finalist
2012- STATE CHAMPIONS
2013 - STATE CHAMPIONS
2014 - STATE CHAMPIONS
2015 - STATE FINALIST
Top 10 in all-time wins in the state and steadily climbing. 2015 hurt no doubt. The Yoemen will look to get back on top in 2016.

Yoe_09 got a reaction from eagleswoodville#1 in District 12-3A D1 Preview
This is not an easy one to predict.
I am going to with:
1. Coldspring
2. Kirbyville
3. Woodville
4. Buna
5. Trinity
6. Kountze
7. Warren
I am taking Coldspring to win this district because of where I had them inside my pre-season rankings. After that, I have Kirbyville as a close 2nd and that could be a toss up if Coldsrping is going to be down a bit. Kirbyville also beat Woodville and Buna by 40+ in 2015 so that is a lot of ground to make up there. I will go with Woodville in the three spot, but those 3-5 spots could be up in the air.
Trinity is losing some coaches including the HC/AD. Also will be losing one of their top younger players.

This is just not true. I went to Cameron (now 3A), so you are telling me that I would have been better off if I went to Temple (now 5A)?
The fact of the matter is, regardless of where you go, if you have a passion for something you're going to make it happen through hard work. It does not matter that my Algebra teacher was Mr. Jones (3A) or Mr. Jones (5A).
I managed to get my self into NHS in high school, attend a private 4-year university, and now have a great job. How did that happen....I'm not the smartest guy out there, but I worked for it. Does that make me better than the community college kid or lower than the Harvard graduate.....I think not. Regardless of where you go to school (high school or college) or what you do in life, hard work and dedication can lead you anywhere.

Yoe_09 got a reaction from studd88 in Week 4 AP State Rankings, all classes
To me, that is part of the problem with the AP poll. If Newton goes and loses to Henderson....even it is relatively close....they are going to drop in the poll.
To me, losing to Henderson by 7-14 points is more impressive than pounding someone that is not very good.
But in the end, polls are polls. At the end of the day, the teams playing in December are the ones to remember.

Yoe_09 got a reaction from Mr. Buddy Garrity in East Chambers National Ranking
Maxpreps are the last rankings I would look at. This poll is nice, but when you combine private schools with public schools, I generally lose all interest.
