Then you probably know he only went to Silsbee for the same reason! He’s a basketball player and as far as I know one of the best in the area,he should go wherever he and his parents feel fit to get his best chance to get to college..

Most of BU team were unexperienced at the varsity level , most of them this was their first year playing varsity! They’ll be okay ! 

So you mean to tell me on his previous successful stops where he’s won titles or got to the state tournament , he had those guys?  Think about that for a moment and I’ll revisit that one.  
 
Also, in order to WIN the title, you’ll need that guy.  See WB’s success?  Do you  think Coach Green win a title with Lil G on his roster?
Also, running plays makes you a good coach? Or being able to do things that’s conducive to your team?  You keep talking about x and o’s.  There’s things that the previous teams with Arceneaux’s, Yates, Dotson, ect could do within the flow of the game.  I’ve seen plays drawn up for those previous teams and seen them execute them consistently.  This 2024-25 BU team were raw, young, and VERY limited on what they could do.  Gregg Poppovich probably wouldn’t have had better success.

Somewhat surprised United starting 3 Freshman were able to hang around being down by 10 early
on. Nederland is a good team and well coached. United rebuilding is coming along it appears with
hopes of winning one of the 4 playoff spots. This Rhetorical question provokes a thought and or

United 11-1 vs Westbrook starting back to the inaugural 2018-2019 season.

Great run by BU I think this years run was the most impressive of them all, because no one had BU picked to win the region. They showed the heart of a champion tonight. Also I’m confident that BU would’ve won state had Dotson been healthy based off what I seen from the other 3 teams today. Either way nothing to hang your head over, this group will be forever remembered in Beaumont. 

Doing this as a paid professional is one thing.  No need for a kid with a bright future ahead of him to risk that future by making an injury worse.  Tough decision and heart breaking but its a decision not to be taken lightly. One made by family first and coaches second.

We are living in the Golden Ages of SETX basketball. I dont know a time in history where you've had Silsbee and Beaumont make it to state so often. I think Ozen and Kountze went together a time or 2. Silsbee and United both made it 2 years ago. San Antonio will be packed with families from the 409. 

By the way, how many coaches in our coverage area have gone to 4 state tournaments in a row?  We praise certain coaches in this area (and not undeservingly) but some of us act like it’s just making substitutions for Green and Sigler.  Those guys are both no brainer hall of famers who deserve to be at the top of any list you want to make regarding basketball coaches in this area or the state.

Back to the proven facts despite being state ranked#4 and undefeated in district play (Cita)....
Westbrook was the better Team....Better game plan...Better coached...

You’re talking about stuff on offense, but this game was lost on the defensive end.  So was the best defensive game plan followed tonight?  I think not. All those wide open shots and easy lays I seen.  
 
We’ll have to figure out something better on defense moving forward.  
 
It’s funny that prior to these two losses to ‘Cita, no one had anything to say about the offense.  We’ve beaten some really good teams this year with that offense…
